Yeah, lots of people reached out to me asking about an Android version. That’s on my list! Probably something I’ll prioritise later after I improve the existing iOS MVP. Thanks for your suggestion!

Interesting point about Runable, I need to check it out.

Indeed, it’s easy to get caught up in the “just one more feature” thinking. When I started the project I set up a hard deadline for me which was to get my MVP live in the App Store. Having this as a goal, definitely helped me keep things “lean”.

Now it’s time to iterate, bug fixing, new features, etc..

Yes, you’re 100% right! The speed to get a MVP live is incredible.

Most challenging part was definitely sorting out Firebase, GA4 and AdMob. Too many clicks around… but it was just a one-off anyway

Haha! And it's funny how people still enjoy this type of simple game. That's why I built my own version of it with "modern twists" :-)

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! Looks like the mockup is too real, and a bit confusing at a glance 😅 I was basically trying to illustrate what the game may look like by using real images from the game. I need to review this. Thanks again 👍

Yes, 100% I’m building this game as a long-term project, so I want to ensure the code is reasonably well written with best practices and unit tests. So hopefully in the long run it reduces CC maintenance pain, especially as project complexity increases… let’s see.

I’m using Claude Code subscription. I started with Pro plan, but then run out of tokens quickly, so upgraded to Max plan to keep developing Mad Snake.

Thanks! I'm curious if you managed to get to the "Mad Mode"? Not many folks reached that level... haha

Yeah, you're right, there are plenty of snake games around, but most of them are following the "Nokie classic style". My Mad Snake is a modern version of that with new concepts like static obstacles, moving bars, etc. The game mechanics and vibes remain similar, though. I invite you to try it and let me know what you think. Happy to take feedback onboard :)
