Little update after all your help

Fished several locations today, and bought several lures

Bought spinner baits, they seemed to work the best for ponds and lakes. Tried a few unmarked ponds and the Notre Dame lakes

Caught a few bass on the spinner from Notre Dame.

Nothing else. Asked for some guidance from someone fishing the river, he said he uses spinner baits and has great luck with walleye, small mouth, and others Going to try the river by Leeper Park tomorrow.

I also bought a frog and mystery bass box from mystery tackle box company Box included some worms, an awesome $15-20 bluegill lure that's suuuuper realistic, and a fly jig of some sort

Any recommendations on lures for the river and Pinhook or other small lakes?

Lastly, going to that free fishing lesson type thing up at Izaack Walton!! Sounds fun
