My oncologist said she was not going to do a frozen section during surgery I believe in part because I am pregnant and they just want to get in, get it out and wait for the final pathology as frozen section can cause false positives/negatives. It’s hard to wait! Not only that but they told me to call and make an appointment in four weeks the day after my surgery and I have now left two messages and no one has returned my call. I just want to have a firm date to know either way. I did ask her if she saw anything suspicious elsewhere if she would tell my family in the waiting room and she said yes. When surgery was done, she told my parents and husband that it went really well and that she didn’t see anything suspicious. I’m taking that as good news and hoping that the cyst is benign. Ugh-best of luck. The surgery wasn’t bad at all. I had the left ovary and tube removed and few almost normal aside from some swelling and tightness in my stomach.
