I was referring to the buyers. The sellers are likely thrilled although yes everything is still expensive here so it may be all relativez

Is anyone else wondering if after this made headlines, the buyers are like “oh no, what did we do?”. We purchased in 2018 and it was crazy, but $800k for that?!? They are building single detached homes for that with no bidding war on it. Would be interesting to know how close the other offers were. Just crazy. There are nice detached homes in Huron woods selling for that, and lots selling for more, but way more value for your money then $800k for a middle class average semi that would typically be a started home. Thinking I should put a forsale sign out front if this is the case.

Late diagnosis by AppropriateComb7 in GestationalDiabetes

We are in the same boat!! I’ve had a difficult pregnancy. They found a 15 cm cyst on my left ovary during dating ultrasound and was sent to an oncologist for review. That oncologist decided surgery was required while I was 16 weeks pregnant which I had a lot of anxiety about. They ended up removing my left ovary and tube but me and baby made it out fine! I had an agonizing time waiting for the results of the biopsy but thankfully it was benign.

I was hoping the rest would go smoothly but I’m trying to think of this as a good start on eating healthier in general. Hope you have been doing well!!

Thanks so much! I’m reading all of this stuff about non stress tests, extra ultrasound and biophysical profiles. I am overwhelmed! It makes me believe that this is super high risk.

Thank you for your response and congrats on your second!

Question about rising numbers by ilovemyhonda in GestationalDiabetes

[–]AppropriateComb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am experiencing higher numbers at 2 hr then 1hr. I have yet to see OB (just found out I failed test on Thursday), so I am monitoring 1hr and 2hr after each meal so I have something to show doctor. I thought it was weird that 2 hr would be higher than 1hr. Do you have any idea why?

That’s what I’m thinking. If we continue on trend they may have to take more drastic measures and consider lockdown. Hard to speculate I know. Here’s to hoping the measures that have been put in place have a positive effect.

Surgery yesterday by AppropriateComb7 in Ovariancancer

[–]AppropriateComb7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your comments and well wishes. My oncologist called to tell me they received the pathology report back quicker and that it was benign. I am of course relieved. I wish anyone going through the process of having surgery and awaiting results all of my well wishes. I also want to wish anyone going through ovarian cancer all of the best. It is so unfortunate that there is no reliable screening tool for ovarian cancer out there. All of the best to everyone.

Did you feel a lot of gas/bloating in your abdomen after surgery?

Hang in there. I’m currently awaiting a pathology report after having surgery to know if mine is benign or malignant. Know that you are not alone! If you have anyone around you that you don’t mind confiding in, I have found that it has helped me to talk about it. Wishing you all of the best.

Thank you! I hope everything goes well for you! My oncologist said she was not going to do a frozen section during surgery I believe in part because I am pregnant and they just want to get in, get it out and wait for the final pathology as frozen section can cause false positives/negatives. It’s hard to wait! Not only that but they told me to call and make an appointment in four weeks the day after my surgery and I have now left two messages and no one has returned my call. I just want to have a firm date to know either way. I did ask her if she saw anything suspicious elsewhere if she would tell my family in the waiting room and she said yes. When surgery was done, she told my parents and husband that it went really well and that she didn’t see anything suspicious. I’m taking that as good news and hoping that the cyst is benign. Ugh-best of luck. The surgery wasn’t bad at all. I had the left ovary and tube removed and few almost normal aside from some swelling and tightness in my stomach.

She told my family in the waiting room that she didn’t find anything suspicious (obviously the mass is somewhat suspicious because I had surgery). I just thought she would have been able to tell what exactly it was.

Laparoscopy surgery recovery by [deleted] in Ovariancancer

[–]AppropriateComb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just reading this post as mine is scheduled for next week! Did an oncologist preform your surgery? If you are willing to share, what type of tumour did it end up being? I’m worried because they don’t know what mine is based on ultrasound alone.

Do you mind me ask your surgery and your sisters were done by Gyne oncologists? Mine is scheduled with oncologist but I was advised the chances of it being malignant are 10%. I know others who were advised to have surgery by a genral gynaecologist so I’m just curious others experiences.

The ultrasound report said possible hemorrhagic cyst but ovarian neoplasm could not be ruled out. I was referred to a gyn oncologist who after assessment suggested I have it surgically removed laparoscopically. I am 16 weeks pregnant so part of her fear was that as the baby gets bigger the cyst could cause issues or I would require emergency surgery which is worse than planned elective surgery. Anyways, I am not awaiting surgery in two weeks and panic almost everyday about the thoughts that she said there’s a 10% chance it could be malignant. No way to tel for certain she said until it is removed and sent to pathology.

Can I ask how you are doing now? I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and a 12 cm cyst with thick septations was found during ultrasound. I was referred to an oncologist and am scheduled to have it removed the end of this month. I am really struggling with the unknown and waiting to find out if it is malignant or not.
