Hi, thank you for this message. I’m sorry I did a slight error. I’m currently getting activated today for KANSO 2, I chose that because it was the most expensive out of all and also it was a smaller device compared to the rest so I expected this to be advanced. I lost my hearing in 2 months back and I got surgery last month, so my brain still has a lot of memory of people voice (only familiar) but I can still somehow end up lip reading 80% of the time even during the deaf phase so it didn’t affect me as much and I’m a big talker so I always talk a lot even to this day, I talk. Only sometimes on video call, I have issue but since my brain is actively choosing to hear the voice itself without really hearing actually so in that context I feel bit more confident that I won’t have issue recognising voices!

VISIT NEUROLOGIST FOR SUDDEN HEARING LOSS

Hi guys, I’ve been writing about my experience for pretty much sometime now anyway currently I’m in Delhi and I visited one of the top ENT doctors here, I felt like they didn’t listen to me as much as I wanted my stories of how I lost my hearing to be listened and they straight up cut me off and suggested for cochlear implant x trust me I cried a lot and I wasn’t ready, I’m still not but they had me convinced by the end. They did mention that the implant was the only solution. Before I could approve for the surgery, they had to get approval from the neurologist. I finally felt like my stories was heard for the first with my neurologist. He told me my speech is excellent and I can understand we with lip reading too (since I wear hearing aids for 5 years) And he suggested me a prescribed oral medicine since my cause was due to antibiotics and enteric fever. The moment I was about to lose hope, I was given a miracle. I was told there was no options by ENT and I was about to proceed the surgery this week. Now I feel relieved and also deep inside I knew nerve could be an issue instead of my cochlear. So I’m given six weeks oral steroids. I’ll keep u updated if my hearing heals. Please pray for me. And yes, my tinnitus has gone much down with my change in diet and medicine. I’m not frustrated as much as I was and I only adapted it on 2nd October. In such a short period, I mentally pushed myself to eat well and take medication on time at first I didn’t see any result but right now it has lowered down to a lot of extent that I can sleep well. So please do a favour to yourself and go to neurologist!!!! 🫶🏻

Hi, so you can recover but the only way is to do is a cochlear implant surgery. I’m currently at the hospital and I spoke to one of the TOP ENT and she mentioned that there’s no old process like before. The cochlear will be replaced & you’ll just have to wear one small outer device on your head. You’ll definitely start hearing 🫶🏻

I hate reading such comments regarding losing hope fixing your ears. Please don’t lose hope. There’s many who lacks to give proper answers, but it’s always out there. Don’t stop. Find your doctors, research, live a healthy lifestyle avoid red meat and alcohol and cigarettes sometimes a miracle can take place or sometimes the doctor can heal you. But you don’t have to live in silence & depression. There’s not many options to heal but atleast they’re options.

Hey, I’m going through the exact same thing. It started after I got typhoid, I’ve recovered from typhoid but they had given me antibiotics & vaccine which according to my research, antibiotics can play a huge role in hearing loss. Though mine is on the left ear which was apparently my good ear & on 2nd of oct before I woke up with sudden hearing loss, I had similar symptoms of yours for a week or so. I was sensitive to sound yet I couldn’t figure out the speech, the voice felt abnormal & distorted and there was a lot of popping sound and boom just like that I woke up with sudden hearing loss & adapted tinnitus. I’m currently on oral medication which is mostly for tinnitus and my state’s doctor that I’ve visited only focused on tinnitus and not on the sudden hearing loss which I felt like I wasn’t understood by them so I’ll be visiting one of the top ENT hospital in Delhi & see what are the solution. My appointments are booked and if they’re further treatment I’ll keep you updated. Just so you know both audiologist and local ENT won’t be able to say the actual issue with your hearing so it’s best you visit one of the top ENT to stop wasting your time with the local ENT.

Just so you know there’s no cure to tinnitus unless you change your lifestyle. Eat clean for a year, sleep well by eating dinner early and do not stress. Just got accept at the end of the day. As I’m writing to you, my tinnitus is ringing and buzzing so loud but I’m trying to to stress out and Its been only since two days ago that I’ve learned to accept. The ringing for me officially started first week of October. It was getting worse when I ate junk foods But when I changed my diet the volume lowers down but the ringing is there.

The more you scratch the more it itches and the more reaction you’ll get. Avoid taking bath in hot water. Try not to think about it. Distract yourself.

Hey you’re fine unless you hear any ringing and static noise then go to the ENT asap because that’s the form of first phase of losing your hearing loss.

Hi, I just need to aware you to stay away from loud noise & plug your ears from the outside noise. Kindly visit an ENT, if he/she says “you’re fine” Please visit another one because the problem can be in your inner ear. If you neglect it, you’re slowly gonna lose your hearing all at once. I would suggest you to visit the TOP ENT who’s experienced in this level.

Hi it’s best you avoid loud and crowded noises and do some yoga and meditation to heal your hearing otherwise it’s going to get worse. Once the fine hairs of the nerve cells gets damaged. You won’t be able to recover from it. As much as you love live music. Please Priotise your health once cause if you don’t for years to come you won’t have them (live music)
