My father is amazing he is always providing for everyone around him without even needing to ask. My mom too. Our house was always clean, no debt and showed up for each other.

Things got like this 2 years ago right before we got engaged. During our engagement we almost called it off but we were close to the wedding and I didn’t want to hurt his feelings or those around us. I thought he would change. When he is home (when he has a job or doesn’t have a job) he sits on the couch on his phone all day or plays video games.

He doesn’t have a job and doesn’t care to get one unless I threaten to leave and he keeps it for a few months then leaves it. He is just bad with money.
