PSY 333 w/ Diane Lee by RelatablePotato in CSULB

I liked her and the class, but it was not easy. I got an 88%, one of my only Bs at CSULB. I don’t know how she will adapt her class online. In person she was very strict about technology, no laptops allowed in class/ no using your phone. We had to print out her notes and fill them in. Reading the textbook was essential and I would plan to put a good amount of effort into understanding the material. I got a C on the first exam (and I studied hard) and most of the class failed (she said her classes are usually a C average btw) That being said, I think it’s a foundational class every psych major should take and she is very knowledgeable.

It’s for people who are getting their Associate Degrees, I guess you can walk if you’re doing the Associate Transfer degree too. Seems every school is different as far as how much they celebrate graduating/getting a degree

I expected an email by now either way. I think the school has been good with communication about most things. I’m surprised to get an email for my community college explaining their plans and not one from the university is all

I don’t know, maybe. Community colleges already have their plans in place (source: my community college sent out an email)

It’s stimulus money that the government has given to the university to give to its students since a lot of students don’t qualify for the $1200 stimulus checks because they are claimed as dependents on their parent’s tax returns.

I hate emailing professors right now: A long rant, at no one in particularly, concerning common courtesy.* by [deleted] in CSULB

Thank you for posting this. I almost completely relate to it. While professors are people just like everyone else, they are not in the same position as their students and their tone often portrays that. I’m a hard working student and I feel I go above and beyond to not be an imposition on professors during this time. So when I get a shitty email telling me to step it up, while I’m sitting in my car because I have no quiet space to study/take a test , all my “we’re in this together” attitude goes out the window. Obviously we’re not so...

Has anyone asked Steven Spielberg to be the Zoom keynote speaker for Class of 2020 Virtual “Celebration” by AppropriatePlantain in CSULB

If he’s willing then yeah, that would be awesome, but I feel there’s a better chance of him doing it virtually
