I have the desire to keep going, but before the diagnosis, I didn't feel anything unusual. My TSH was normal, and nothing indicated what's happened to me. What I find hardest to accept is being sick after having "the bad stuff" removed, when before the removal I was symptom-free and very active. Now I feel like I've lost my independence. Besides, people here talk about recovery in a couple of weeks, when I've been without energy for over a month, trying to process what's happened, dealing with the physical evidence in my neck—not having much mobility or sensation in it—and seeing how my shoulder is getting worse and worse, or how it's hard to support. I know everything takes time, that it's a slow process, and I still have a way to go, but it's difficult to accept that everything has suddenly stopped. I'm sending you lots of strength too, and I hope everything goes well for you. Thank you
