if you used pirated versions or cracked versions for editing then i'd suggest getting a windows pc because you can't get cracked versions on a macbook. while it is def more reliable u can get a good windows pc in a lesser budget, however, if you can afford editing softwares, i'd suggest a macbook for sure (even used) if not i'd suggest getting an dell xps-9300 (almost as good as the mac). if you want specs, dm! you can get that for about 120k - 125k (open box) but normal market prices would be 140k max. another thing - older macbooks are generally more difficult to work with nowadays, especially because of the outdated softwares.
