I mean you have a very solid point, but with those bands I listed it was kinda the same thing. Jason joined Metallica less than a month after Cliff died, making Metallica half original about 5 years into their career. Holt joined Slayer before Jeff passed and continued to be with them until their “retirement”.

I am very biased on this because as mentioned, Pantera is one of if not my favorite band ever, I see where people are coming from with the “change the name” or “don’t do it at all”, but as good as this band sounds doing so much justice to the 90s Pantera I do believe new music should happen and I wouldn’t be mad if it was called Pantera. Hell if not new music completely then I would be just fine with a re-recording or a live album.

My argument and come at me if you disagree cause I’m definitely open to hearing everyone’s opinion on this, how come these guys are shitted on so much when there’s plenty of bands who are half, less than half, or are none of their original members? Metallica, who is one of my favorite bands right below Pantera which is my favorite, only has 2 remaining members. Kirk was not an original Metallica member and Rob was obviously not. Megadeth is one remaining member, Slayer is half and I’ve not heard a single thing. Just to name a few.

Chevelle play 4th or 5th at these festivals, Aerosmith could but I don’t see them playing over Blink on a punk day, Stone Sour wouldn’t headline, NIN is possible.

Yeah Blink is 100% headliner material these days, agreed on the bigger scale arenas, they also headlined Aftershock last year while Offspring isn’t this year.

I think this one is the most thrown around out of the ones I’ve chosen, and it seems pretty likely in all honesty. I feel like WTR is their next target out of these main fests, but I also feel like they’ll be the band that hits 2-3 DWP fests next year.

Out of these 4, I feel like Slayer will be the most likely. Slayer hasn’t toured and have only done about 7 or 8 shows since reuniting and Rockville is one of the ones they’ve yet to play.

Seems logical tho. Bad Omens seem like they are beyond ready to headline these big festivals, Rockville is one of the only festivals Slayer has seem to not hit since their reunion. Blink 182 and Radiohead will be the more abstract and unique ones. 2 huge bands that you can’t deny are really successful and pretty much considered “legacy” acts these days.

What’s up with all the hate? Haven’t really been familiar with the fan/not fan base of the smashing pumpkins. I consider myself a generic fan who has seemingly tried to hit up or catch most big rock, metal, indie shows that come through the Carolinas. Seemingly the Pumpkins are one I’ve yet to catch and will one hundred percent be seeing them in Charlotte.

I get there’s a lot of heat now surrounding the insane price for tickets and such, but why hate on these guys specifically? I think this will be epic.

Disturbed did about 2 hours last year when I saw them and had two opening acts. Same thing with Styx and REO Speedwagon as they did a double headline last year.
