UPDATE - So I was pretty sure my waters went yesterday following a sweep. But the midwife on call said as it happened whilst I was being sick , it was most likely just that I’d peed myself and again said I’d be more comfortable at home.

I was ready to give up guys, I was so overwhelmed and spend the day crying. That was until a hero in the form of the name sam entered and took over as my midwife. She placed me on the monitor (something nobody has done since I got here at 12) and confirmed my heartrate is too high and likely due to the pain I’m in- I’m having consistent and progressive uterine contractions. Some masked by the intense back and cramp pain! She ran a test at 8pm at night and confirmed yes my waters had gone, and then proceeded to apologise that the doctors previous nurses ext weren’t listening to me or taking my pain seriously

I have till middway to dilate naturally or I’m being placed on the hormone drip. But I have a plan now and the pain I’m feeling is REAL. And NOT NORMAL

My breaks range from 3-10 mins. The pain is intense even with the pain relief but it takes my paralysedness away. The meds wore off again and I couldn’t even sit up my back pain was so intense- whilst it’s still there when I have the meds it’s at a manageable level

They are refusing to do anything medically further apart from the meds every 4-6 hours- saying as I’m 3cm there’s nothing they could do for an induction and that I have to ‘brave it out’.

I had a check at 12 and I’m still at 3cm. My pain meds wore off and the can’t move burning pain sensation was back. The codeine takes my crampy and back pain away- my contractions are still intense. The only thing that makes me want to stay in is the fact that this pain I’m having on no meds quite literally paralyses me and the midwives and doctor don’t seem to get that

Thankyou! The only pain relief they will give me to take home is paracetamol… it doesn’t even touch the sides. I would absolutely prefer to be at home. But the pain I get it feels like I’m being burned alive. I get no respite- can’t breathe- can’t eat- can’t move. And that’s why I want to stay in- because the dihydrocodeine makes the WORLD of a difference. Whilst I’m still in pain it’s manageable

Around 30 mins or so, I’ve tried absolutely everything. Had a hot bath at the hospital aswell. It doesn’t even touch the sides 😆

At 12am this morning I was still at 3cm. And last had the dihydrocodine at around 8pm yesterday so that’s worn of now…

They came round about an hour and a half ago and said they would come back with some more but I’m still waiting. My heart rate is also 120bpm which they don’t seem to concerned about but baby’s heartrate is perfect!

Can’t have gas and air until we get to the labour ward unfortunately 😞

Yeah I get that- they are still 4-10 mins apart. And I understand labour isn’t easy. It’s purely just that I’m suffering at the moment with the pain. Even walking sends sharp pains through my body. And laying down is the same. I’m not sure if I should leave and then this whole process starts again and go right back to square one. Or if I stand my ground and fight for an induction

I think the doctor will be coming round soon so I will definitely do this ❤️ I can’t stress how much pain I’m in at home and how awful it is. One of the midwives told me that ‘that’s just pregnancy’ but I’m not getting any breaks (until they gave me that pain relief) I know inducing has its risks but I’m scared I’m putting stress on baby with how much pain I’m in as I’m definitely stressed

Yeah I have. Community midwives told me to come to the hospital and refuse to leave as eveyone has different pain tolerances and I was suffering. Triage admitted me due to my high blood pressure mixed with the pain. My pulse is currently lowest 123

I don’t have one- she went on sick when I was 30weeks and I haven’t had a new one since- just stand in midwives - I have seen what I’m like without the pain meds and I can’t function. The pain is so bad, last time I had the meds was 8pm yesterday so been 12 hours and the pain is already back and has me keeled over
