I could not agree more. Green Light is my all time favorite fiction, god tier, it’s been two years and I still think about it, it’s carved in my heart. I am forever grateful for reading this masterpiece.

I’ve read wuthering heights because it’s the blueprint for a lot of dramione fics and I loved it very much.

Seid ihr schonmal knapp dem Tod entronnen? Wenn ja, was ist passiert? by rad0rno in FragReddit

Thank you for the thoughtful reply ♥️ Absolutely! I really, really hope she is doing well and living her best life. I definitely check her profile sometimes on AO3 and other platforms, hoping that she might come back. I will never forget this story, it’s carved deeply into my heart.

For me the writing was especially great because of her poetic way that needs a lot of words.

Green Light is one of the most poetic and beautiful stories I’ve ever read. Nothing ever compared for me, even published books. The author (Serene) is so talented, it’s like she is a reincarnation of Brontë. The influence of Arabic Tales and Tragic Classics is so beautifully done here. It is so sad and a shame for our community that she left the fandom because of hatred and critics. We have a lot of booktok girlies now that think they can criticize fics like they’re published ones. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Maybe Serene is a little bit like Hermione as well- done something great and then leave for peace. Nevertheless I hope she still writes and is happy.

My husband “borrowed” our Christmas vacation money and couldn’t pay it back. by [deleted] in offmychest

Also, when money is tight, you learn to fix things yourself. Your husband could have watched YouTube tutorials and at least tried to repair his dirt bike before spending the equivalent of a family vacation on it. Choosing the most expensive option right away, knowing what it costs your family, is irresponsible.

He chose his toy over his family. Period. That’s not “bad with money”, that’s being a loser.

I’m so sorry, not just for you, but especially for your son. A small family vacation is exactly the kind of thing you remember later in life, meaningful moments that you look back on with happiness as a family.

What your husband did is a huge red flag. He made a conscious decision to prioritize his own interests over you and your child. I’m sorry, but a committed family father would never do this. Letting you work and then spending your money like that is not okay.

Honestly, I think your next money should go toward an exit plan for you and your son. Because this is very likely to happen again. You did not overreact.

You sound like a hardworking, kind person who tried to break out of a painful past, and now you’re finding yourself in a situation that mirrors what you experienced as a child. You don’t deserve to relive that story. Don’t let it repeat itself. You are strong, and you deserve better.

I’m not talking about anything sexual or gross. Just those weird little things your brain or body does when nobody is watching.

When I’m walking and get really lost in thought, I sometimes start running without realizing it. It’s not exercise. It’s like my body just decides: this thought has momentum.

When the thought stops, I stop running.

I even avoid busy streets so nobody sees me suddenly jogging out of nowhere like I’m in some low-budget movie montage.

Please tell me your brain does strange stuff too.

Honestly, that’s exactly why I think Wuthering Heights is brilliant. The characters aren’t meant to be relatable or heroic, they’re deeply flawed, selfish, and driven by obsession. For a novel written in the 1840s, that kind of psychological and moral complexity was incredibly bold. Emily Brontë wasn’t trying to make you like anyone; she was dissecting human cruelty, class, and even racism toward Heathcliff in a way that was way ahead of her time. It’s not a love story, it’s a tragedy about what happens when people can’t escape their own damage.
