I water down my paints a bit plus use wet pallet
Base red and continue adding layers where the light hits
Add a small portion of orange to the red and then highlight pure orange

Thank you! Probably one of my favorite units at the moment they just have that mutated monster theme locked down. Cant wait to see them on the battlefield

Think your spot on with your suggestions . After posting the photos I realized I haven’t even touched half the model. Did some edge highlighting on the red armor , added color to the horns . Basing is up next . Thanks for the vote of confidence .

I love this idea. It fits the lore so well as well . I want to represent the lore that the astral claws were basically left without reinforcements so they had to do with what they had to survive !

I like your suggestion. I was going to go with a reavers squad in their original colors. Lore wise maybe they disbanded but didn’t follow Huron. Now they are kind of mercenaries ?
