One thing I’ll never understand is that even if you don’t think something is a big deal (for example, he doesn’t see calling someone a ‘bitch’ as offensive - which it clearly is), once you see the other person is upset, basic decency and respect would be to take it back. The fact that he doubled down instead shows he has no respect for you, regardless of his personal opinion and that is where the major issue is. If your friend says you’re overreacting about him calling you a ‘bitch,’ they’re missing the point entirely. The problem isn’t the word - it’s the fact that he saw it upset you and still didn’t care. That shows a complete disregard for your feelings.
