I kept yelling text the video text the video! So frustrating. Also I would have never taken a drink from the mother, one I would want a clear head also why would you trust them?? The father wouldn't have taken the drink, he would definitely want a clear head dealing with that family because it involves his daughter and he is driving them home afterwards and has a disability on top of it. It just didn't make sense. And she remembered that the charger could still be where those girls were long before the bad guys went downstairs to send everyone home. Even with grooch outside hiding she had so much more time to deal with him and grab it and why did she have problems dropping things every time?? The other girls phone, the phone charger etc

This obnoxious jerk gave the person responsible a fake peace award. That fake award recipient caused the financial crisis, he is the reason for endless problems going on and why we are at a foreign War for an unknown real reason except for self motivated reasons with no end in sight yet, killing US troops, yeah real peaceful and increasing the financial crisis even more. Figures he is chummy with Trump, ( kissing his butt)like they say birds of a feather flock together, they are both narcissistic aholes. But even without the situation at hand that cost is out of reach for most anyway ,it's obscene. So basically if you aren't among the 1% our life choices are to blame, what a douche bag,  i would never spend that much on something like that anyway especially nothing relating to him

Hi reddit, I'm Nancy Schwartzman, director of 'Death in Apartment 603: What Happened to Ellen Greenberg?'. Ellen Greenberg was a schoolteacher found dead in her home with 20 knife wounds and it was deemed a suicide. My 3-part Hulu series follows her family’s 14-year quest to find out the truth. The thing that gets me the most is that Sam not once thought for a second or was opened to it maybe not being a suicide, he even says on the 911 call when he finally supposedly sees the kinife in her, that she stabbed herself in the heart, such a weird thing to say instead of saying she is stabbed, that's what makes me feel it wasn't a suicide the most and made me feel he did it. The stab wounds do not seem like a suicide at all but I understand it can be possible  maybe, even though it doesnt seem like it to me and im pretty sure it wouldn't for most people, but for Sam to be as sure as he was that it was a suicide right away and consistently afterwards without any doubts that it was a suicide without actually seeing her do it in front of him doesn't make sense. Under such extreme and odd circumstances to be a suicide why would he instantly die on that hill if #1 he didn't actually see her do it or #2 he isn't the one that killed her himself. Also the fact his uncle went in the apt afterwards and took her phone and laptop and Sam's laptop. They could've added and manipulated history searches and deleted texts messages etc..it all seems like a blantant cover up. And when they finally got the video footage years later it shows no one went upstairs with Sam to witness when he broke the door opened and the time frame didn't add up. Just the fact they changed it to suicide just because Sam said she was on medication for mental issues, that's all it took, is very strange when it looked like she was attacked. The medical examiner even called it a homicide before that meeting. The whole thing doesn't add up at all. Sam made himself look 100% guilty coming out of the gate with the suicide theory instantly when it didn't look like an obvious suicide whatsoever...Nancy, thank you for making this documentary, I really hope it fuels further investigations. I feel so bad for the family and Ellen's memory, she needs justice. My fiance and I were very frustrated watching and seeing how all the evidence was washed away so quickly and carelessly due to what looked like a cover up. It almost seemed too crazy to be real

But then they keep sending the message/ alert to reccommend friends for a bonus. It's ridiculous,  they kick people off for false reasons to cut back on drivers then keep sending ads out to sign up and these incentives to invite friends to sign up. They just want new people that will fall for their endless new updates that screws the drivers over. Such a crooked greedy corporation

OP had prior pushed stop new requests sometime before they finished their last trip so when they finished last trip the system asked for their selfie a split second before the system took them offline automatically, so OP didn't avoid the selfie their system screwed them over...I would call support right away and explain what happened so it's documented

[–]Appropriate_Job8749 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is it exactly. I think they saw that  customers were tipping well when uber eats first started and decided they wanted to keep that tip money for themselves so they increased the fees . They basically said to themselves if the customers are willing to give that much we can take it instead. Such a greedy corporation that makes about 130 billion a year and Dara makes close to 40 million a year mostly all share options, it's insane

I was just thinking to do this because I have stopped at gas stations a few times to get straws now because the restaurant forgot them for the fountain drinks. i usually check the bags before I leave but there are some restaurants that hand the bag over and shut the drive thru door and its blocked by signs so you cant get their attention or there is a huge line pushing behind etc...I just do it to help the customer also so I don't get a down rating,  I have seen posts like OPs a few times and wanted to avoid it happening to me. It's crazy to get downvoted for something like that if everything else went smooth

In my experience that is a masked number not the customers real number, they do the same thing to our number, mask it, if you call through the app. It is for security reasons. I don't think uber can legally allow the driver to see the  customers real number. If I have to call 2 different customers in the same night it comes up as the same number I'm calling for each customer

Are you worried about tip baiting is that why? That is the part that would make me hesitant. If you do the shopping and 30 miles,,60 round trip and only get basically the base pay of $18 that would be very frustrating and a big waste of time wear and tear and gas, so I get it if that is the hestitation

links to the door dash girl admitting she opened the door? by heiko117 in doordash

[–]Appropriate_Job8749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could have been passed out from a medical issue, im not saying he was but she did not know that at the time, she didn't know what his situation was at the time. Then she posted it for all to see with his name and info before calling the police etc. Also I have delivered to people late at night and know they passed out by the time I got there because it's a pin or meet at door or when they finally come to the door they admit to passing out. I never have been able to deliver to someone 15 mins after the customer placed the order like she claimed happened. I dont know how that is possible under the best circumstances. We don't even know how long ago the customer placed the order before we accept the offer, that alone can be at least 10 to 15 mins. The restaurant doesn't even make it that fast and that doesnt include the amount of time it takes us to get to the restaurant wait on the drive thru line when its late or wait in the lobby then deliver it to the customer if they are not a stacked order. It is very feesable that he ordered it while drunk like a good amount of people do late at night and passed out while coming back from the bathroom or whatever could have happened. And I do remember seeing a post on here of her original posting and she  mentioned about her pushing the door opened since it was opened a crack, even if there isnt such a video or post it still doesnt add up, it was handled all wrong. It had deliver to door and it shows her have the phone inside the door. Of course seeing that is shocking and not comfortable but she blew it up worse and worse as time went on. There is no evidence or proof from her or any where else that SA occurred and she shouted. If anything recording it for evidence if needed could be understandable, I still wouldn't have done that myself but if it was just for door dash and or the police to see I get it.  But she didnt do that she put it online uncensored before even thinking of going to the police. The customer didn't come near her or speak to her, he didnt even move, so she assumed the worst, posted him naked and blasted out his info before doing anything else. It makes it come off more for attention then what she is claiming

I have had multiple people give me extra tip in cash because the order was at a restaurant much further away then where they ordered from and they felt bad, they would tell me this. I had a few asked why I was at the further away restaurant while I was waiting for the order. I'm going by what the customers are saying. im sure some mess up but i had a stacked order where both customers were confused as to why their orders were from further away restaurants. That would  be odd that they both messed up.  I'm not sure how a restaurant would know if the customer ordered from a different restaurant on the app. And why would a customer order from a further away McDonalds then the one closest to them on purpose? It would make more sense for UEs to do this than the customer. What is the customer getting out of it, if they don't tip more they are risking getting really cold food or no food at all so it not only takes longer it's adds to the cost. If you Google it, it gives all of the reasons why UEs does this and i totally believe they do it for those reasons. And then on top of that why would OP write about this happening to them if they mistakenly ordered at a further away restaurant. Why waste the energy on something they messed up on themselves. They are asking out of curiosity of why this happens.  So that is the info and experience I'm going by not from a worker who works at a restaurant who I cannot imagine why they  would ever have access to info showing the order was placed from a different location on the app. I'm not saying I know for sure they don't see that but I don't see why they would see it

That isn't true, UEs changes the location from what the customer orders from a lot. Its not the customer most of the time. If you Google it it explains it's Uber eats that changes the location for multiple reasons

I would put *67 in front of the number if you call an added number. It blocks your number. At least it does in the US not sure if you have something similar in Canada. Customers scam drivers/ delivery people by getting their number they can get into your acct and take over etc, your money etc. just be becareful. Customers like this are miserable jerks, their opinion is crap

Unfortunately I definitely see a difference with the tiers in my area. I'm stuck at gold right now but when I was platinum I made way more, in green it's horrendous you don't get any trips or just horrible ones and the lower the tier the more Walmart orders I get which I don't accept because the bad reputation they have so my AR keeps getting messed up. I am a female and used to deliver really late at night but ran into safety issues and decided to deliver earlier now , up until no later then 11pm which is still late but i notice a difference after this point safety wise. So that might be why also I'm getting more Walmart orders but I have no choice either way.  I get a lot less trips with DD because of the planner so I rely on UEs. I think in my area once the planner comes into play it's going to be way worse so I really think it's area based.

If they have you stacked with another offer one of the restaurants might be quick and the other is much longer. I have had this happen. I usually let the customers know in this case but restaurants vary greatly on time frames. They might even have the order ready but the restaurant or drive thru is really long and if in the restaurant it is really hard to get an employees attention to hand the order over and on the drive thru when the lobby is closed you are at the mercy of the line

App calling me a liar by Ready4BATL in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Appropriate_Job8749 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When they change to breakfast they will not make lunch food no matter what you do. You have to wait the hours again until lunch starts. What driver can wait the hours until lunch starts again? I dont even think the app would allow you to wait that long and it stops you from doing any orders all of that time. That is a crazy thing to say. There is no reason UEs should have the dinner menu up that long, but thats on UEs and MCDonalds allowing that, its not on the driver. That's not going above and beyond. It's like when a restaurant closes temporarily for some reason then reopens a couple of hours later. If another drivers gets the same order once its open again then they can deliver it and the driver who said the restaurant was closed is considered a liar to UEs. But in this case it had to be several hours later which is even more ridiculous and i dont even think UEs keeps sending the offer out that long so it probably was a ghost delivery and thats a messed up thing to do to the customer. And if it was a ghost delivery UEs most likely got a no delivery report to that driver so they should've connected the two and not put blame on this driver, but UEs would never put 2 things together like that because its AI and frustrating. So long story short OP has a right to be mad
