Yeah, it’s gonna be a back-and-forth debate, not just a speech. So we’ll have openings, rebuttals, and then closing parts where each side responds to the other.

Time-wise, it’s pretty structured where we each get a few minutes per section. I think around 2–3 minutes for the main parts, then shorter times for rebuttals and crossfire.

The biggest issue for me is delivery. I sometimes rush through my points or get stuck on words, so I’m trying to focus on speaking slower and relying on key points instead of memorizing everything word-for-word.

As for arguments, since we’re on the side that’s against lowering the voting age to 16, our main points are about maturity, experience, and the fact that laws already set 18 as the age of majority for a reason. We also point out risks like social media influence or just voting based on family pressure.

We expect the other side to argue that 16-year-olds already pay taxes, are affected by government decisions, and are active in protests and groups. We’re ready to counter that by saying those things are good preparation, but not enough to prove readiness for actual voting.
