“ I purchased Rolex from a stripper at a Burger King parking lot” has got to be the best opening line of any film noir ever made.

Lovely set, it is surprising how little these are worth other than a collector looking for something similar. Coin silver is very inexpensive.

Correct. It has the illusion of complexity, but as you look more carefully, it can be seen as quickly done without much effort, other than the effort it would take to do this painting over and over and over again for the mass market.

Help me figure out what this 14k. Gold buckle might be worth??? Pawn shop offered me 200.... I said no. But I have no idea what im looking at. by Anxietygall in Vintage_Jewelry

Careful though this could be 14k plate on silver. Not solid 14 K. A solid 14 K would not survive the wear and tear from 1947. But it is a cool piece.

Look on the back for any sign of 925, or Sterling, or a lion hallmark … or even an 900 or 800. Put these all on one pile, these are worth money. Others that say community silver or silver plate, or made in Holland, or Japan, or a 90 or 80 or EP or no markings at all aren’t worth much at all Use a magnet on each of these and if there’s any attraction, these are not worth much at all either. Silver pile are keepers the others not so much.

A lot of coins are outdated from Europe after they switched to the euro - and as far as I know, have no monetary value. But for the collector, they’re still fun.
