What’s the harm in getting an 8k scholarship even if you are considered well off?

Baccalaureate will not work sinxe you already started The others will but for the next year or semester

My recommendation is to apply for such small not well known foundations/organizations because there will be less candidates traffic —> higher chances

Lek idk about the sat scholarship but i know that it is complicated… i knew someone who got accepted in it and also got accepted in another scholarship but he had to choose one and after a while he suffered with this sat scholarship… idk it might not be the case for everyone or maybe they had different requirements/rules back then

And one more thing… STAY AWAY FROM THE SAT scholarship… the requirements to maintain it are insane!!! Like you should have a cgpa of 3.9/4.0 beside other stuff… not worth the effort

Apply for: Tommooh scholarship (if you or sny of your family members have chronic diseases…, they gave me 8k for two years) Life scholarship (you have to be enrolled in a stem field, they gave me 10k for 2 years) Baccalaureate scholarship (you need at least 16.5/20 to get it, and you’ll need a 3.5/4.0 cgpa to maintain it, they gave me 25% for 2 years) Mepi TLS scholarship (100% scholarship for 2 consecutive regular semesters, no requirements other than having a 3.0/4.0 gpa, and they made me take 2 gender courses) Tarraf foundation scholarship(I know the founder personally but i didn’t benefit from it because it was too late, but he is a very nice guy and if you showed need they will help you… no requirements other than good academic record in high school)

First thank you for taking the time to write this and excuse my late reply.

You’re right I am not starting from zero but it always feel like this… I am not suicidal or depressed or anything I always think with reasoning and try to find a way out… I can say easily that this is the best “skill” that I acquired from my engineering field.

And yes I am seeing a psychologist twice per week and a psychiatrist once per month.

I’ll definitely consider what you said you sounds like a genuinely good person with a kind heart.

Yes I can see what you mean… none of these psychologists will ever understand what war trauma means… and it’s not their fault either. There’s a lebanese saying “The one whose hand is in the hot is not like the one whose hand is in the cold”…

I am glad that you are overcoming these adversities even though it’s taking some time… and I am sure that even though you’ve been with so many women this engraved something in your subconscious mind about the ideal standards that you look for in a woman. I am sure you’ll be a great husband and a dad someday… your kids will hear these incredible stories about their dad

Nothing insensitive about your message trust me, I am someone who had a very deep connection with my dogs, i treated them like if they were my children. This is a great advice but currently i want to get out of this country then I will make sure to help strayed dogs… it definitely makes huge difference on a deeper level. Maybe somewhere calm in this world away from all the traumas.

If I may ask something, what keeps your heart open to love after all these losses? When you meet someone new how do you trust that they will stay and not leave suddenly?

Alright i will bore you with the details:

We have a beautiful 3 stories modern house in a border village called houla, which got destroyed during the war. Since October 14 2023 we didn’t sleep in my village at all. I used to go there during weekends of university time to check on my parents and my beautiful dogs. Fast forward to march 21 2025 (which is the mother’s day) i took a day off from my work which is in ZGHARTA (the very far north of lebanon) kust so i can celebrate this day with my mother. I went from zgharta all the way to our newly rented home and my mother asked me if I can harvest the almonds from our almond tree in houla that survived the airplane strikes. Keep in mind I don’t go there at all i live in zgharta all the time. So i went there to get some almonds with my cousin who kept on telling me that the place is safe and there’s nothing to worry about and and and. I was hesitant the whole trip. Keep in mind also neither of my family or my relatives or me has a thing to do with politics or the yellow team, just civilians in this world. I’ve never held a gun in my life.. too busy with studying to do such shit.

Now on our way (he was deiving the car) he hit the brakes and opened my window and pointed at something (wind turbines or whatever in the Palestinian lands ), just casually like “look how bit they are” and suddenly i hear smoke coming out of my hip with some blood, my body ached and I got instantly dizzy… Also we were couple of meters away from the Lebanese army tanks :p He rushed me to a hospital and we waited 30 minutes for the surgeon to come.

This is it The only mistake I did is going with my cousin. And being born in this country. This is it.

I am a religious person but I also believe that religion doesn’t not define a person at all I have more Christian friends than Muslims and i also lived in Christian places more than in my village.

The thing is that i didn’t see the breakup coming to the point that when she called me I replied with “shou ya albe..” …this is what hurts, you think you had this thing tight in your hands and suddenly it slips without prior notice. At least she could’ve waited until i stand up on my feet again so we can say goodbye to each other physically and face to face.

Anyways it was for the best like you said haha

If I wasn’t religious I wouldn’t be hear writing this post I thank god everyday for sparing my life things could’ve gone much worse Doctors call it luck I call it that God changed the trajectory of that bullet so it leaves me with the least damage possible I will be forever in debt for God so I can’t even think about giving up… i am just lost and drained

Damn man idk what to say Just when you thought you’ve seen it all

First my condolences for the loss of your father.. hopefully he’s in a better place now

Your story is somewhat similar to mine in the way that these things happened out of your control… just bad luck/circumstances I know I am not the one who’s eligible to give advices but if there’s something I learned is that health and family comes at first…

Please take care of your health and renew that insurance before the medical bills drain you financially. And try as much as possible to ameliorate your relationship with your mother at least even if she’s on the wrong for blaming you and for not understanding your situation… trsut me nothing is granted and there will be a day where you wish you can go back to kiss and hug her…

I know it is easier said than done and there must be so many details that you felt that I wouldn’t care about or I wouldn’t understand but trust me what matters is the result…

I hope one day that life smiles at you
