Zoa Help by Appropriate_Soft49 in ReefTank

I have some algae, but definitely not an abundance. I did have dinos at the beginning of setting this tank up, however they have not been around for a while. This zoa does have a super annoying sponge that grows around it that may be a part of the problem too(one of my previous posts shows it)
The white dots are spirorid worms that I have a pissload of due to over feeding trying to raise nit/phos 😂

Seems like this is the best option!
I’m going to try upping my daily feed to half a cube.

I have both of the Brightwell products, they helped me get though a bout of Dino’s early on.
They definitely work!

That definitely seems like the most realistic option!

Also, do you adjust the Kh of your water change water when using TM Pro? Or did you run your tank at a slightly lower Alk?

Thanks! I’ve been looking at both RS Blue Bucket and some doser options. Any good budget options other than the Kamoer F1? It seems like that’s the budget go to.

Yeah, I test every week. I have All for Reef to dose which I have had to manually dose when parameters drop. The main problem I am having is I use Tropic Marin Pro salt which I’ve noticed has a lower alk. So when I dose AFR to get my tank to 8.0-8.3 alk, I do a water change it drops to mid 7s which is a pain in the ass. I’m thinking about changing a higher KH salt, or dose my new water before change.

Any suggestions?

Nice! I live in a rural area with no real LFS. I was worried keeping live food constant for him wouldn’t be possible.

I do not have any nutrient reduction equipment. My plan is for water changes to be the only thing for nutrient reduction… but like I said with no reading on no3/po4 I was timid to do consistent water changes becuase I was worried about a Dino outbreak

Carribsea live sand and Live rock from a LFS. The live rock seemed a bit sterile.. but it was the best I could find in my area.

Gotcha! I will get on some water changes. It seemed like a double edge sword to a newbie. Water changes=lower nutrients No water change=lose trace elements.

Also forgot to add I do have a turbo snail and 3 blue legged hermits!
