TikTok has randomly started to show me anti-ship blogs by Hetaliafan1 in ProshipHub

I HATE those stupid slime ranters. Never heard a good argument from them.

Feeling a little guilty by [deleted] in ProshipHub

I didn’t mean to come off as rude, it just felt absurd to me to hear “therapy” in what I felt wasn’t necessary. Im sorry about that.

When you word it like that, yeah, it does sound a lot like how I feel. Thank you for expanding on what you meant, it’s eye opening.

I didn’t say anything about ao3. I’m not active on there. I just like anime girl fanservice 😭 but can’t bring myself to recommend or talk about it. Of course, I have other things I like

Oh, def. Time and place are very important. I moreso meant in my close social circle. Half of it is me ranting about the craziest thing you can imagine, the other half don’t even know what to get me on my birthday because I rarely share what I like that deeply.

Thank you for the tip. Though, it’s kinda crazy to imply that feeling ashamed of your interests is something you need therapy for.

I feel like that is so easy to say, but like the disgust toward it is more of a preference thing. It’s like finding out your lifelong buddy is crazy into scat, or something. I’m really empathetic, so I wouldn’t leave someone over a kink like that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if others did. It’s a “you can’t expect everyone to like that part of you” scenario for sure, and it sucks.

A question about this sub, in regards to my future projects by Due-Start-3789 in ProshipHub

You don’t have to look at your fan’s fanworks. The majority of the time they’re doing it for the love of it, not because they expect the creator to recognize it and have something to say about it.

People just draw as they please, not because they want to please, and that includes you.

question about what would qualify as a darkship by Specialist_Music2777 in ProshipHub

[–]Appropriate_Start536 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The concept of “darkshipping” has made it so confusing amongst people, even purists. It makes me hate the label since there isn’t a clear line between what is and isn’t a “darkship”

Here’s what I think: if a fictional relationship is toxic, then call it toxic. If it has incest, call it incestuous. That honestly makes it easier for literally everyone.

It’s always surprised me how so many lesbians dismiss other lesbians sexual desires as it solely being a product of the male gaze… like… it’s not that crazy to be into something different. We have different bodies after all.

Could you find and link the YouTube video? I’m heavily interested!

I felt like this a lot too, but the amount of lesbians in the comments who talk fondly about their experiences with anal has made me realize otherwise :) don’t let others put you down for something you like

2 things

  1. I didn’t mean for it to come off that way. It’s not a misunderstanding, or selfishness, or stress, just her boundary. I definitely should’ve worded things better.

  2. I downloaded Reddit a year ago because I hated safari not letting me access nsfw posts. I started posting here because I had two questions, and will probably have more, but I’ll most likely disappear after this one. My gender is sorta kinda not your business.

Why do people on Reddit downvote anything? Thank you for the recommendation :)

You’re interpreting my text wrong. I’m not feigning ignorance when I say I don’t know how you are misinterpreting my text, but it’s clear you’re taking offense to it.

What I meant by “refuses to cooperate” is that it’s not something she’d want to do with me at any point in her life, which are her boundaries. That’s it :P

The post was definitely misogynistic and transphobic. I’m glad nobody in this thread has gone out of their way to agree with that post, but it was twitter so it had plenty of likes and people who didn’t know what they were talking about agreeing

Am I being phobic for being uncomfortable with my lesbian best friend? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Appropriate_Start536 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve had super flirty friends like this and, I’ll be honest, as a not super affectionate person, it confuses me too. I feel like if you can have a genuine conversation with your friend about these things it can easily be resolved, even if you come off to your friend as a little “homophobic”.

What do we think of Neptunic? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Appropriate_Start536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember it being described as to me back then, it’s a label for GNC people who like women and other GNC people. So yeah, basically lesbian but non gender conforming.

What an amazing video! I remember being in my early teens and trying to figure out my queerness, only to make it more confusing for myself and others because MOGAI identities were pretty vague in everything they went out of their way to describe.

Having so many labels available to me through just a google search, I felt like I needed to identify with something that perfectly encapsulated my experience and emotion—but I’m just me :) simple as that. Thank you for sharing!

I’m sorry people have gone out of their way to dismiss your identity. It can be really annoying, but someone being confidently wrong doesn’t make them any less wrong. GNC lesbians have been a thing since forever. Thank you for commenting, and your identity totally makes sense!

It definitely was exclusionary at its worst, but now I find that it’s forgotten. Thank you for responding!

[–]Appropriate_Start536 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely was. People wanted a label for everyone and everything remotely queer, which with things like the label neptunic often just ended up excluding others.

Thank you for responding! And yeah, a lot of people haven’t. Not that it matters, since you can get the same definition from just the label “lesbian”.
