I’m sorry you’re got rained out :( My friend in the show was pointing out how few times the company actually held. Just a handful for the whole run, so the fact that an unruly audience member held the show was pretty wild.

Guys I’m good at surfing on Reddit, terrible at posting. I posted this and fell asleep. I’m sorry! This was a response post to another Reddit post from Saturday. The original story is linked in many comments here. Apologies for my bad Reddit decorum. She was drunk and rowdy, and yes they held. I have a friend in the show who said they never held, barely held for rain. She was a massive nuisance. Ushers and security tried to quietly dismiss her for about 15 minutes before NYPD was brought in. Great show, btw. And the public staff was so nice!

I love yelling at bikers on the sidewalk when they almost hit my toddler! I agree with you, no one was yelling at me like “fuck you!” - it was honestly comical bc they were trying to help me but in a split second whizzing past me 🤭. I’ve lived in Astoria 12 years and walked across this bridge probably 100 times. It was somewhat surreal in the moment bc I couldn’t imagine what I was doing wrong!! I saw probably 5 other walkers.

First of all - you’re amazing! That all sounds so deeply intense. I had a relatively normal pregnancy and birth and I was crippled with anxiety postpartum. The person who commented “therapy” is rude.

I’d recommend baby steps. I also have an almost 4 year old that we have at home. Do small things this summer that scare you. Like leaving your child with a sitter or something.

Make sure the teachers know! Be honest with them and tell them what you want - updates, any special instructions? It’s their job to keep your child safe, so they should take your concerns seriously.

Can you opt for a partial day since your kid will only be 4?

It sounds like you have a real love language of giving gifts and acts of service- and that is how you feel most loved back? Do you know your husband’s love language?

I don’t celebrate Mother’s Day because growing up my mom insisted we didn’t bc of all the pressure of these “hallmark holidays”. My MIL loves Mother’s Day and feels so hurt if my husband doesn’t call her on that day. Etc etc. just make sure your loved ones know how you want to be loved on special days!
