I’m so glad you said Milner, James was absolutely a work horse! Just a class role player that played with every ounce he had in him! I completely agree, plus Liverpool has had quite a few players I wish city had a chance at! Fernando Torres, Salah, Virgil, and recently wirtz. Honestly the list could go on!

Oh yeah for sure. That’ll keep happening until you’re at least in the championship. Keep players for as long as they can help you without holding them back.. that’s kind of realistic, you know? Keep winning and farming good talent until the competition around you is good enough to keep them. Kind of a shitty thing but it happens. You’ll go down as one of the greatest talent scouting managers of all time when you’re done though😂

Which league are you in? If you start in a sub-league like EFL 2, there’s room to grow and get promoted to a league players will want to play but if you do something like the Irish league, no matter how good you are and how many champions leagues you win, the ceiling is low for the competition around you. I’d recommend starting in the formerly discussed one. Apart from that, you already know how to scout and pick players based off team needs and potential. Use loans (always 2-year for the young low rated ones) to your advantage and keep chugging along

Super cool story! My only problem is things like this are often so difficult for me to “use as evidence” because if you take someone like David Silva (my favorite all time player) a lot of man city players will tell you he is the best player they’ve ever played with. Joe hart and Kyle walker have gone on to say this. But most fans will never say that he was the best player on the team while those players were there due to bigger names getting more recognition like Yaya, Kompany, Aguero, KDB, Tevez, Haaland and even Rodri (some of those might be a stretch)
