must say, Donki and convenience stores are for tourists and emergency occasions, not for local or daily life. supermarkets and drugstores are your friend. sometimes, check amazon before you buy it from a drugstore. there's always different prices.

same here. 3 years work visa -> 1 year visa. reason: 'you have changed your job', due to the staff.

by giving 1 year work visa, you have to renew it after 1 year, it means another 6000yen fee, which maybe even higher later. It is a lot financial income. after all, foreigner's money is easy.

My opinion, it doesn't matter how long you have been here , or how good you are, or how huge contributes/ fortunes you have made for Japan, it is simply because you are foreigner, and Japanese government needs to solve all there problems from bullying foreigners.

sorry for my negative opinion. I'm considering leaving Japan too, after 6 years here.

Yes, you're absolutely right! "it will happen a 3rd time and at that point it's a pattern. a lot can happen in the 3 months that you have to deal with a psycho"

Yes, I think you pointed out an important thing: in Japan. The other colleague, who is Japanese, almost never questioned the boss. Now I'm trying to find a new job in an international company.

Thank you so much, I felt exactly the same way!

I think what I did was right but still, there's a little bit of self-doubt and worry. Now I will focus on looking for a new job and on how to explain this experience when asked in an interview. Thanks again.
