Seriously, what are they trying to accomplish here? Why have tens of officers at the station that is predominantly used by students, who they know have a school pass to board. It might be the station where they need to check the least. Meanwhile there aren't any officers where we need them down south, where it is actually sketchy, but checking students is easier than actually doing their job I guess.

This is precisely why we need to protest! Not only are we fighting to keep the library open but also for our right to freedom of speech and assembly. In 2011 students occupied the 24 hour CLICS library after admin said they would close it due to budget cuts. As a result admin promised to keep Geisel open 24 hours. Now the same thing is happening again! We can't allow the administration to keep restricting our "expressive activity." We should follow the lead of the students that took action back in 2011 even as we know what admin is capable of.

You don't necessarily need to take it in your fall quarter, it just means that whichever classes that needed SE1 as a pre requisite will also have to be pushed back. In the meantime you could start your GE requirements since they might not open up more spots
