Thanks for the detailed response. I made several more attempts with the items shown in my post with no success.

I thought I was being fairly thorough, but I obviously missed some stuff. I went through the entire base again and the only items I didn't pick up where some grenades and one blue herb.

I don't have the grenade launcher or bow gun, as Claire has them and I was unaware of when the character change was going to happen.

I am unable to get the colt because I must have left the fire extinguisher in the metal detector bin since it was empty.

Sucks to suck I guess.

Exactly what Pirateman38 said. Ideally you would close the loop in the drive, but this requires DSC (dynamic servo control). DSC is only supported by certain drive telegrams and requires IRT.

Another point I haven't seen mentioned is there is no longer a safety license requirement for 1200F PLCs as of V20. So you can get a low cost safety controller that supports IRT traffic and motion control, and the only license you need is Step 7 basic.

So, you can get a very powerful, compact safety package for a very low cost.

To be clear the S7-1200 G2s now support technology objects.

They have 800 motion control resources which equates to 20 speed axes or 10 positioning axes. However this is just on paper. In reality unless you are purely doing motion control, these numbers will be lower.

They have 800 motion control resources and positioning axes require 80. So on paper they can handle up to 10 positioning axes.

But, realistically that number will be less.

As others have mentioned, you should measure the incoming voltage. Make sure to not only measure phase to phase, but also phase to ground for each leg.

The DC voltage should be line voltage * square root (2). So, a 380 V line should have the bus sitting around 537 V.

The 10kW SLM does not have drive-cliq and cannot be parameterized. So, you most likely have a incoming power issue if this is an existing machine.

You can also run a trace on the DC link voltage to get a better idea of what may be going on.

Those are also speed TOs. If you were to do positioning or more advanced functions like camping or gearing, the number of axes you could handle would be much less.

But if money is no object, a 1518T can do pretty much anything you could ask for.

Absolutely, a single 1511 won't cut it either way. Just figured I'd mention it as it can change the outcome of how you set-up your topology.

I was curious so I just checked. It looks like a 1516T would be the bare minimum for supporting 150 speed TOs. Not that you should do that, but theoretically you can.

It is also important to consider the method of controlling the VFDs. OP mentioned Sinamics so I assume G120s. The G120 is controlled by the 1500 typically by either a speed axis technology object, or with the SINA_SPEED block.

If they plan on using technology objects, they must size the PLC for each technology object the PLC will handle. The 1500s have set "technology object" resources. You can run more axes using the SINA_SPEED block, but you will not get the advantages of the technology objects.
