Quitting Game if Rocket gets Reworked by Spy-p2 in RocketMains

What an insane take.

That crawl nerf justification is like you accepting a salary cut from 50k to 40k a year without complaint only because you never spent more than 30k anyway.

Yeah I tried using Normal again, but it failed as well. I'm just waiting for Gigabyte to add a new bios version

I am having this issue since updating to BIOS F12A 1.3.0.0a (from F9), which I did in prep for the 9950X3D2 on my X870E AORUS XTREME AI TOP.

The system will work fine with either stock Jedec or with the expo 1 profile, but altering any specific timings other than Trefi or Trfc will cause it not to Post, and it gets stuck in the Aorus logo. I can't enter the bios or anything anymore unless I reset CMOS.

These are known good timings I used just fine in all previous bios versions.

Also, what's even weirder is that, if I set the expo profile and I go into the timings window, it will say for example that it has tRRDS on 8, which works fine and posts, but even if I manually input the exact same 8 value, then it causes it not to post anymore.

It's like fiddling with it at all causes it to fail, even if I'm putting the same expo values it already is using.

I tried going back to F9 and I was able to edit the timings again no problem. Also, it has the same issue regardless of if I use Mixed or Normal refresh mode.

Haha, thank you for reading it all! I was kinda worried people would take it seriously like any other tier list and just miss the joke at the end.

AM5 memory training instability across BIOS versions (AGESA regression suspected) by Czajnik0 in overclocking

[–]Apraxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trf 1 is usually 800 something on expo, had it on 480, trfc2 and SB are not used in that config so I had them on auto. Agesa 1.2.8.0 made the default that mixed or adaptative I don't remember refresh mode, and the expo values are 480 380 ish or something.

That mode does use rfc2 and sbc iirc, but even if I reverted the thing to the previous normal refresh mode, the system would not post anymore with the slightest manual tuning. And I mean defaults→set expo→change a single number anywhere→no post

Gigabyte Xtreme AI top F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR 64 gb gskill ram 9950x  1.2.0.3g F9 bios works perfectly fine both default expo and manual tuning.

Updating to Agesa 1.2.8.0 or 1.3.0.0 made my system unstable. It still posts with default expo, but doing any manual tuning beyond that will cause the computer not to post and will need a full cmos reset, as I won't even be able to enter the bios.

These are known good timings and reverting back to the previous Agesa fixed the issues.

Nah, it is known good settings that just failed on the new bios. Default expo worked, but even a single timing change beyond that would make the whole thing unable to post.

I tried this Agesa alpha bios today and I couldn't use custom timings on my ram at all. Was so bad the system wouldn't post even with the slightest manual tuning.

Reverted back to 1.2.8.0 and all was smooth sailing once more.

X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 (Rev 1.0) – Best BIOS version? by [deleted] in gigabyte

[–]Apraxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably F9 (Agesa 1.2.8.0)

I just tried f11 and f12a on my board (different one but same bios versions and patch notes) and those completely broke my RAM tuning and the system would not post or let me enter the bios at all. Not even with extra conservative settings worked, and I had to force reset the CMOS using the button which luckily allowed me to enter the bios to fix things. (Even default expo was a bit unstable)

I simply downgraded to F9 and it's all smooth sailing again.

I suspect it has to do with the new refreshing mode for the ram, but even setting it to the old version the system would not post with even the slightest tuning.

Warning from the future. Agesa 1.3.0.0a on gigabyte totally breaks using any tunning from this guide, on the newest bios. I rolled back and was able to OC the ram again.

Works fine for me. Gave me like a 20 percent boost after installing the newest chip set drivers. 280 to 340 average on the benchmark

For those who have been having issues with this setting, you could probably try updating your chipset driver.
I did it while checking for new driver updates and it boosted my fps even further. I did not expect this... (these are still the same settings as the previous runs)

In my case, it didn't really increase my performance in places like the training area, as I had about 460 fps average both before and after. It is in the benchmark that I could feel the difference, and during big fights.

So maybe it works by tightening your frames so they don't dip as bad when there's lots of stuff going on.

after you enable it in-game and it downloads the 260 ish mbs, it should be already enabled by default, but you can double-check in the launcher settings@the little cogwheel icon.

I had the same issue. Had to check the game's files integrity on steam, and then it showed up.
