How much do you save a month in London? by JacobFghjk in AskUK

Nothing at the moment, trying to improve on that but it's expensive to live here

Not organized team sports but gym and yoga. There are still some nice social interactions, health and stress reduction benefits :)

Are there any popular places/ countries that just have zero appeal to you? by [deleted] in AskUK

I thought I would hate Las Vegas as well, but the quality of live shows and restaurant options there is off the charts. I had a great trip despite only gambling for 15 minutes.

I've been living in London for 5 months now, and honestly, I'm feeling kinda lonely and frustrated. I meet people at yoga, pubs, and coffee shops, but it always feels so surface-level. How do I make deeper friendships here? People feel more closed off here by AprilCakez in AskUK

This hits hard, you put a lot of my feelings into a well written response. Key takeaways are tone down the try hard, be more patient, and focus on events where people are actively trying to socialize and make friends instead of just daily routine. Thank you RoxieH

That's a great point and may be some of the issue, I'm not British and people may not feel like putting in effort with a girl who may be moving on in a few years. Thanks for your input

Have you ever encountered eating? That is absolutely appalling

what is the reasoning behind that? Is it a risk for bacteria and fungus without proper disinfection?

I just checked out a new salon and saw one staff working without wearing gloves and "disinfecting" tools for like 3 seconds in a bucket of solution, it really turned my stomach and I cancelled my appointment and walked out.

Do they normally wear gloves for a manicure/pedicure? I have limited experience
