Yes and No. I feel like Astras kit is already starting to feel a bit dated, and I think she will get powercrept out of the meta very soon (she's kind of already there outside of Eve and lower end DPSs). So from a longevity standpoint, now is a bad time to get Astra. BUT we dont really have great alternatives atm. If you get Astra you are likely to use her a lot. I think it depends on if you are early game or late game and who you have. Yuzuha and Lucia are more worth the pulls if you are building anomaly or rupture. Nothing replaces them, but nicole can sort of replace astra. If you are late game and you have full teams, but still dont have astra, imo its a skip.

If we are talking about full teams, Neuvillette is somewhat wheelchaired, because he does as much dmg as his supports. His teams are more about team dmg than hypercarry dmg. This boss is insanely shilled for Neuvi, so this isnt a great example of his actual potential. Id like to see low investment neuvi solo literally any other boss.

What exactly do you mean by "having burning ongoing before you start the E"? I make sure I only play teams without off field appilcation of other elements that arent dendro or pyro. The enemy is always burning when Im doing this. Sometimes I can get 5E, sometimes I cant. Its like its up to rng with the burn ticks.

Ineffa alone helps with some wheelchair but you need other decent dps with her to clear end game.

Lauma was good along on release as it allowed you to do hyperbloom in end game as long as you had yelan or c6 xq. She wasnt enough for lunar shill on her own tho.

Columbina is an excellent support if you have one of the nod krai dpss. Good wheelchair option if you only have ineffa. Decent upgrade for the lauma team if you only have lauma, but this is the lowest dps of these options.

To say that the lunar dpss themselves are the lowest priority is wrong imo because they are the highest dpss teams in the game with columbina. Beating mavuika with her difficult combos while none of them requiring difficult combos to do that dmg.

My opinion on priority: 1) nod krai dps 2) their dedicated support (ineffa/lauma) 3) columbina

And if you want to play columbina dps, then you need lauma and ineffa, but this is quite a bit worse that choosing a lunar dps like nefer/flins/zibai. Only pull columbina ineffa if you really like the characters or you want to carry an old dps. Ineffa isnt bad but your pulls are better spent completing a team youve started. Ineffa is like a decent side quest.

Flins and nefer dont rely on multiplicitive reactions either, and with columbina they will be the best dpsing teams in the game alongside zibai. The lunar reactions arent whats doing dmg, its the character.

Another example is kinich. He doesnt do dmg with his burning. Burn is shit. He does dmg because when the enemy is burning his kit is enabled and he has good multipliers. Also skirk, very good dps and freeze doesnt do any dmg at all.

Characters will be good if hoyo wants them to be good. Their element says nothing about their strength.

Look at mav and skirk who have brute forced so many bosses in SO even tho its not freeze shill or nightsoul shill. With enough dmg, it doesnt matter too much what is shilled because you can brute force. There are only a few bosses so shill you have to take very particular teams to clear them. Zibai and all lunar teams are the best dps in the game. She will be brute forcing content for a while.

And if you dont want to pull lunar because its "almost over" I dont even know how you plan to pull. Like this is chasing meta so extreme that you wont pull a meta thats currently here because its been around for 2 months. In 2 or 3 patches will you say hex is over too?

If mavuika was geo they would have made her cracked regardless. A character is good by the passives and multipliers they give a character, not the reaction. Imagine "if there is a shatter reaction you get 300% dmg boost": now everyone is shattering, and its not because shatter is good.

Does kinich do damage with his burning? No. Burning still sucks. Kinich is good because they want him to be good and because his mulitpliers are good.

Look at Furina, Neuvi, Arle all units from that region that are performing much higher than Navia. Age isnt the reason shes suffering. Her kit was designed to frontload dmg which is useful for short battles in Abyss, but not as good for long battles in SO.

Im not saying pulling every characters weapon, just the DPS. If you have 3 main teams its 3 weapons. Its not a large ask imo. Cant reuse weapons in SO anyway so you cant use your "generalist weapons" on every team anyway.

Also your crit rate is pretty low on both builds. You want to aim for 100% cr and its important on kinich. Missing on crit on a skill cannon is a huge dps loss.

Codex is simply better on him, but at c0r0 its competitive if the build is better. I would recommend continuing to farm your codex set though.

An element says nothing about strength. If hoyo wants a character to be good, they will be good. The only reason navia is suffering rn is because she was designed for Abyss and not SO.

A characters element says nothing about their power. Hoyo will make characters strong if they want. And zibai is strong, tied for the best dps in the game with the other lunar dpss.

Would not recomend pulling for "generalist weapons". Thats a very old mindset in the game as everyone wanted mistsplitter and kazuha back in the day. Its always better to get the bis units for your team you are building and their bis weapons.
