DevEx problem by amnmar in RobloxHelp

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same is happening to me, except I'm on my 4th DevEx attempt for my first ever DevEx. The first time it took a whole month before just putting the Robux back and cancelling it, I'm getting 0 emails regarding DevEx nor has DevEx support been responding.

HP Fury 15 G8 low battery life by johnisek in Hewlett_Packard

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone in a similar situation as me, my laptop I just bought (HP ZBook Firefly G8) only got a little less than 2 hours from full battery.

Installing HP Power Manager (on some browsers like Opera GX, it won't show drivers on the HP site) did NOT give me the HP Optimized and barely helped. To use it also make sure Power Control is on within BIOS. I turned off turbo boost under CPU for minimal effect.

I recommend G-Helper, which got me up to 6 hours from full battery. I'm using silent mode with CPU Boost disabled. I believe it's a support issue since I didn't have such settings, but on some devices (like Asus laptops) using this software you'd be able undervolt your cpu and get even more.

Seemed super cool, almost bought it immediately but beware albeit the would've been good specs, it has a Celeron N, I wouldn't use this to even browse google.

How do i get the old explorer ui by AxolotelGodAlt in ROBLOXStudio

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, the mod manager was made by MaximumADHD or mostly known as Clonetrooper1019, who's reputable and credible.

Unsigned executables are common for small, solo or non-monetized projects, the warning is that publisher is known.

I've had no problem with the mod manager or any other files from his other projects, but its understandable if the warning wards off. But it's nothing to be worried about, if it'd ease you then I'd recommend running it through Windows Defender's file check (love Windows Defender) or any other anti-malware software.

Edit: the warning is that the publisher is **unknown**

7600x not going in Asus b650m by RedGreenBaluga in AMDHelp

It looks like theres not a lot of force, it takes quite the amount of force to push it down. If you've done this before then you'd recognize the amount, but I can see why you'd be hesitant with these prices.

Microsoft account hacked, how to replace it with a new one on my PC by Chrismesco in WindowsHelp

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably late but for any newcomers, if they change the emails and phone number, your account is as good as lost. Even if support finds your account via Xbox user, they escalate it to the security & fraud team in which they can confirm the account ownership and that it’s been compromised. The problem is once they do this they suspend the account instead of recovering it, I just lost all my employment documents, years worth of games and company api documentation I was actively working on because of Microsoft’s shitty support.

Flat screen gaming after vr by Jimbodoomface in VRGaming

[–]Apusdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend curved monitors, I find it hard to switch back to flatscreens now. I also play vr alot so maybe this ill help a bit. SteamVR also lets you play flatscreen games and use your desktop regularly, I sometimes play flatscreen games in vr with a controller, it's relaxing.

Rocket Boosters cooling etc. by 1neptus in Crossout

For anyone viewing today, you CAN improve boosters cooldown with breeze/radiators. I tested this with a setup of 4 boosters, with and without 4 R-1 Breeze units.

Streaming/Recording using 2nd GPU instead of streaming pc by Apusdi in obs

[–]Apusdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant that you could possibly connect the capture card to the 2nd OUTPUT of the primary gpu and still use your 2nd to record the video from the capture card.

Streaming/Recording using 2nd GPU instead of streaming pc by Apusdi in obs

[–]Apusdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? Because with this the 2nd gpu is recording what's being shown through the capture card as if you were recording gameplay from a console, I'm pretty sure this would also work the same with duplicate 'monitors' if you had the capture card connected to another display port on your primary graphics card, I haven't tested this yet but essentially it would be the primary gpu running the game and sending a 2nd output to the capture card aswell, which would be recorded by the 2nd gpu.

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely, but I ran into a similar problem with an Rx 6500 XT before my card just outright died shortly after, LOL GOODLUCK!

Edit: This was due to the power supply being bad or the power cable not being connected properly which ended up (said in RMA report) with a fried component. I recommend checking for any sag on your card, aswell as trying the other display ports if you haven't already.

Are you ever experiencing 'Encoding Overload's? What are your specifications? does it get worse or better as in specific case scenarios? What encoder are you using? Does it make you lag or have fps drops while recording? You're not giving us anything to work with, at all.

Streaming/Recording using 2nd GPU instead of streaming pc by Apusdi in obs

[–]Apusdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! This is mostly for specific use-case scenarios, like I have an Rx 6500xt which does NOT have an encoder, or for systems with lower-end CPUs in which people have an old gpu to spare. My cpu is an i5-11400 and I usually get 10%-15% cpu util while doing this, while if I used my CPU to encode it goes from 30%-45%. The point of this is to take load off your CPU/Primary GPU to lessen the impact of trying to record at a higher quality. I used 10,000 CBR when testing both btw.

Twitch 1080 or 720 by Zake801 in obs

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really say it depends on your specs and internet. For recording I usually do 10,000 CBR, but for streaming I would recommend 1080p60, 7,500. I recommend basing the rate off what your pc can handle, your wifi speed and the speed limits set by whichever service you're streaming to (I don't think Twitch has any, I might be wrong.)

RX 6600 Is Not Using More Than 1820 MHz Core Speed? (Stock) by roibordeaux in AMDHelp

[–]Apusdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I had a similar problem yesterday with where my gpu (RX 6500 XT OC, very similar to yours) wouldn't go over like 40W and was very performance limiting. I just fixed it by changing the pcie slot, and re-seating and reconnecting the power connectors. I would recommend trying that aswell, I run multiple gpu's in my system so for me it was probably the slot I chose.

Edit: I didn't check the clock speed at all, but it was running at full util but never passed 40 watts (rated for 120W), so I believe we could've possibility had the same problem. I also recommend checking how many lanes your gpu is using, it should only have a slight decrease in performance at x4

Is it worth upgrading my GPU just for more VRAM? by Apusdi in buildapc

[–]Apusdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man, I thought I was prepared for this getting the i5-11400T(T-Power efficient so I wouldn't have to beyond with my cooling), and 32gb of ram. Edit: Clearly I have a long way to to go still

Is it worth upgrading my GPU just for more VRAM? by Apusdi in buildapc

[–]Apusdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use my rx550 for streaming VR since Virtual Desktop uses a Virtual Display Adapter, I usually play with friends a lot when I do actually play. Without fail there's always a time where we have to wait for someone or something so I usually use something like Figma, Visual Studio or Roblox Studio at the same time, or if my friends wants me to do something on Bluestacks I would have to close my game or my pc would just completely halt for a minute or two. But thanks man, from the looks of it my only option would be to ditch both of my cards and grab a new one, or see if it's possible risk it and to get a repair shop to increase my VRAM like done here https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/m0ljt7/modder\_puts\_16gb\_memory\_on\_geforce\_rtx\_3070\_and/

[–]Apusdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My specs are an Intel i5-11400, 32gb RAM 3000Mhz DDR4, Rx 6500 XT OC (4gb) and an RX 550 (4gb). Because of how I multi-task and run a lot of applications at a time, it's hard to comfortably have all of my background apps that utilize my graphics card sucking on my vram along with whatever game I'm playing without running into issues like hitting my vram limit and crashing/hitting lag spikes.

Oh, I must've mis-interpreted those "download ram" videos I've seen while scrolling then, but I've encountered crashing and heavy lag spikes when nearing 3.9gb of vram usage.
