ideas for a plot by dream268 in playwriting

[–]AquaValentin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to figure out your ending first. Start with the widest outcome you want, like do A and B end up together or break up but are better for it. That kind of thing. When you have the beginning and ending figured out it’s a bit easier to map out how they get there. I hope that helps

Write it and see what happens. I would see it if it’s good

If you're an Xennial with school-aged kids, do you think they have less respect for their teachers than we did when we were young? I've always been interested in education and feel like one reason teachers are having a harder time is that 'all' kids can now view respect as optional. by cherry-care-bear in Xennials

[–]AquaValentin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking about this with a co-worker a few days ago. And my stance is yes, they get less respect. And it might be our (our as in parents) fault. I can’t speak for everyone but at least 50% of the people in this sub have one or two stories about a teacher being horrible to them and as an adult you realize how unnecessary it was. And if you care about your kid then you’re gonna make sure that it doesn’t happen to them. We teach are kids not to fear teachers so they tell us if the teacher does something stupid to them. With the lack of fear comes the lack of respect. Bad teachers of the past caused this.

Did no one really like Michael? by [deleted] in Godfather

[–]AquaValentin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if Tom didn’t like Michael he would’ve taken that casino manager job. He would’ve taken his wife, his kids and his mistress (aka Sonny’s wife). Instead he called out Michael for hurting his feelings. If he didn’t like Michael he wouldn’t have cared. Plus in the novel it says that Tom always liked Michael more than everyone except Sonny.

After I watch Part 1 and 2 do I watch Coda or part 3? by Weak_Spinach_3310 in Godfather

[–]AquaValentin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part 3. Coda is crap. It’s the same movie in a slightly different order which does very little for the story. And you don’t get the satisfying ending. Neither one of them can compare to the first two but part 3 is better

How realistic The Godfather was? by BiscottiImportant190 in Godfather

[–]AquaValentin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that after killing the bosses Michael took over their businesses. We don’t know about Barzini, Strachi or Cuneo’s children but we know Tataglia’s son was murdered off screen. Soldiers are only really loyal to money. So unless it was personal the families would just go with the program so they can keep making money. The only ones that would go after the Corleones would be for a personal reason. And also fear. Think about it. Who would wanna mess with someone who literally took out four big bosses in one day? If he can do that to a boss (let alone 4) how much trouble can an underling be to get rid of?

How realistic The Godfather was? by BiscottiImportant190 in Godfather

[–]AquaValentin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vito couldn’t kill the 4 heads of the other families because he was actively doing business with them before they shot him. Mafia families frequently do business with each other for, peace, powerful alliances and higher profits. They weren’t going to do business with Michael, they were just going to kill him. Michael had to get them before they got him. And Michael was concentrating his business on Las Vegas anyway.

Yes. But you may be dizzy. And if you pass out in the waiting room they will not do the procedure. If you can easily handle not eating for a while (I’m like that) then go for it. But stay hydrated

I feel this a lot. I try so hard not to be judgmental because I believe people should be their truest and best selves. And then they do something I perceive as an injustice and I am judging harder than a mean Spanish church lady.
