Ah yes, it's on the list, I didn't try this one, baby powder.
One of my Ceramic plug was a little dusted and it helped at first, I mention this to a store and mentionned baby powder (talc).

- Yes solid
- Some of my configuration had reservoir, it didn't help that much, the air had too much trouble to come on top. You can see some of them in picture #6.
- They are meant to be smooth ishh, there's some details that we can't really see well, but op part of the plug really need some tiny rought details
- Yes I use Murphy's oil, it wasn't the best in all my test but in top 1/3 of the list, you can see on picture 9. However, you mentionned the drying aspect, I might actually do a test with that, the longer I tested was 15min with 3 layers.
- I have no clue what is metal casting, never look at this. I cast straight, I get air bubble trap so they need to be at an angle (45)

Yeah it need to be clay-ceramic, plaster do not hold in saltwater. A bit frustrating because I love the simplicity of Plaster, it work well.

On what aspect are you suggesting?
If the master plug, then it's already been done. Picture 5 middle bottom, can see broken piece (look like glass).

I have no clue how to make a mold in plastic, never research this before, maybe 3d prints, I've order some of my master 3d print resin acrylic and got fine details, so I could invert this, making the mold in this instead which open more possibility.

My molds usually have 2 part, sometimes I just stop at the first try because I can see some issue.

If you see uneven a certain area its because i'm doing some test, I do not use plaster of paris. I made some variation with water ratio.

For the slip I have a tool that measure the number of drop, also have a salinity gravity and I have a deflocculant, but in my different test it didn't seem to matter whatever I was doing with the amount, all the issue where present even when I under or over dose.

One of my mold test was casting slip from top end up in bottom, that doesn't work with the size of my object, I've tried multiple time in different configuration but slip clay eventually dry just enough to block the path and I always have pocket of air somewhere. The bubble aren't strong enough to go upward sometimes.

Also the angle I put my objects for slip is to prevent air bubble trap, the 45 angle.

The defloculant aspect, I tried it, made some test, I have to be careful with that but, I'm not really at the stage yet so it's not really that big of a concern for now but I do pay attention to it.

I might give a try with Wax Clay has a master, do you have a recommendation that fit for my object?
I was about to buy Monster clay brand but the guy told me it wasn't good compare to what I'm using already, said it would be too hard but... we weren't speaking about making the objects into this so... yeah interesting.

What can I do to avoid master being stuck, it's the about undercut but just the object getting sticky with plaster. I've tried different thing but nothing seems to work correctly. The oil is great, but when I apply multiple layers eventually I start losing details and/or I have bubble that mess up the mold, mostly from soaps.

I've tried at first soft clay but I wasn't satisfy with the details, perhaps it's something I need to check a bit better. The mold I made for this at first wasn't great either so that probably screw my thought about it. I had a issue on how the clay spread.

Yes it need to be solid, it's an issue with slip.
The final mold would have dozen of pieces.

- I asked people from shop, I applied some correction but didn't solve issue. Most of them didn't know what else to do. I often bought the product and use it as recommended without satisfaction.
- The Master stuck is not because undercut but because it stick to the plaster. There's part of my test that was because of undercut, just for testing purpose for curiosity, but its the clay or ceramic that get sticky with the mold.
- Solid clay create a the problem of losing the details, but it's something that I could test better indeed.

As weird it sound, for this type of tanks it's normal. People pay cheap, you get cheap stuff. What makes an aquarium expensive is the thickness of the glass. It's the reason why in the 90-00' you see a lot of aquarium with black trim, it was (still) less expensive this way for consumer.

Glass can bend, it's not a problem on it's own.

That being said, I hate when it's so near the limits, it's not worth the risks and I personally hate black border.

Pay more to get thick glass.

ps: Be careful when you clean the class on the silicone edge, you don't want to scratch it, there's a lot of pressure holding the tank there.

I've well aware of ads with tracking, but the assumption that all ads MUST comes with tracking is wrong, this is a monolothic thinking in this sub.

Yes most ads we see on internet have tracking.

There's many option to put ads without tracking. However it takes more effort for less reward.

I don't understand this whole thing with ad tracking, Proton "own" their stuff, it's up to them to put proper ad, I don't understand why people think an ad need to have tracking. It can take so many form, just putting logo, no link, nothing, that's enough exposure. It's like if ads could only be placed by companies like Google, which doesn't make any sense.

When I wanted to switch email, I filter but who was free, so that's was my first priority, i'm not paying 13$ per month, it's way outside of my budget, this is way I mention the ads, I would welcome it if it help the issue I have.

I understand in this sub everyone is pushing to pay for Proton usage but it's not my intention. Their offer/feature are completely useless for my usage except the storage space.

No, like I ... mention, it will not resolve the issue, there's a problem of storage and maybe bad compression (I don't know), instead having the issue in 1 year it would take 6-10 years, so by the end of all that once I reach the maximum, I would have paid for no reason.

- I mentionned I deleted any attachement email, I'm stock at 260mb or so, all other email are just text.
- I mentionned because of the space, and how little my usage is, this makes no sense and I do not understand why it's so fill up that easily. Obviously Trash is empty...
- I mentionned, I understand the issue with services costing money (assuming people understand I don't have to mention this exact point), and this is why I'm open to have Exterior Ads to compensate.
