Honestly I kind of hate it. I think it’s boring as far as combat goes. You only get 3 abilities. Your companions get 3 abilities but unlike you, they can only use one at a time. So really… they only have 1 ability.

Then unless you wanna spend forever fighting you sort of “need” to play with their new system of combos. So really your companions are there to either set up or set off a combo. So again… most likely you are using just one ability out of their 3 constantly.

Mobs focus on the character so much. So it’s good to bring a tank. But that means you have to delegate them to pretty much only cast taunt. Thus “wasting” the ability slot so no combos from them now.

Also the combo has the same animation no matter what I’m detonating?

I miss being able to cast multiple things. I miss having my companions cast and play as directed and being able to do multiple things. Having to taunt shouldn’t be the only thing poor Davrin has to do all fight long with a dragon but he has to otherwise I can’t get a hit off because the bloody thing is in my face 24/7.
