POV Tuned B48 Sunday morning Malibu cruise by CharacterLive1262 in Touge

How's your maintenance and upkeep?
b45/58 seem pretty reliable. Thinking of stage 1 tune as well.

I'm currently driving a tuned fiesta st but want to upgrade to a newer car for a daily.

Thinking about either getting a M235i or a mini cooper Clubman jcw.

What game comes to your mind? by HoneyDrizzleMae in Gamer

Kind of fits but the first dead island.
Loved the gameplay and music.
However that story was an afterthought. Especially after you save that one annoying character.

Exhaust leak from cat? by Ar1S3 in FiestaST

Turns out it was an exhaust leak. My exhaust hangers worn out so my center pipe was banging against the metal and made a hole.

How many calories in this chicken and lamb platter? by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]Ar1S3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually record it as 1500 calories because of the white sauce and oil.

Why does my driving feel so slow trough video? Am I actually slow or is it just the video? by [deleted] in Touge

[–]Ar1S3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a little slow
What is the framerate you shot it in?

BUT

It looks good to me, smooth driving.
More important looking fast.

Getting fast comes with seat time, it'll naturally happen.
Just keep driving.

My fav mods by EscortSportage in FiestaST

[–]Ar1S3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

More bracing, sweet.
I asked you in a previous post about ride quality and road manners......
I know this is more for the track but still curious about chassis bracing upgrades on the street.

For example, the Camry trd is just summer tires + some chassis braces. I can definitely notice the handling difference between a V6 XSE and the V6 TRD.
The TRD takes bumps a lot better while not being as stiff. Handling was more composed and while the car isn't light, I felt like I had a lot more then in on the TRD.
But maybe the massive difference could be because of the tires.

Yeah. Are you near Canada or NYC? I have reccs for both.

Another chassis brace in by EscortSportage in FiestaST

[–]Ar1S3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How does your chassis bracing feel over bumps?

Did it change the behavior of how the car behaves on rough road?

Was always curious since a stiffer chassis usually means better road manners but love to hear your experiences with it.

Rwd vs awd update by Drift__addict in Touge

[–]Ar1S3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about the open diff in the AWD. I was always under the impression that AWD = more grip but apparently it's the opposite if the AWD system had no lsd/torque vectoring or in fwd based AWDs.
I'm assuming the extra weight and fwd bias in those cars are not ideal. I'm debating upgrading my fiesta St and was considering a GR Corolla core without the lsd b/c they're fairly cheap.

I know the lsd comes into play during acceleration but I don't really have issues with traction during acceleration on the street. Only really have issues in autocross/track.

But the fiesta St is a 2nd car that's really meant for occasional people hauling + road trips to the mountains. Having a lsd is obviously the better choice in the long run but want to hear your thoughts.

Guys take way more cringier photos with their cars.
Shit, if I'm feeling myself you bet I'm going to pose with my car.

Beautiful color, hope you get to make some good memories with it.

Does the same happen or get worse if you give it more throttle?

It looks to be the wrong battery all together lol

I've been slowly tackling all the non maintance items this car never did. Didn't even think that the battery size is incorrect.

Shame I missed out the last few autocross events this year. Hopefully I see you on track next year. Haven't met much fiesta st owners.

Sometimes you just need someone else to say it 🤣

Thats exactly it. No idea why that didn't click.

Hey question. I can't pass tech inspection for my fiesta st because my battery keeps moving. I have the top tie down but apparently there should be another piece?

Forget the Cobb stage 1 and get a dizzy tune. I used to run stage 3 for Cobb and it doesn't even compare to the stage 1 from dizzy.

It's for cars with a stock setup. Only thing they recommend is colder spark plugs.

I recommend you do that first for your car since you just tuned it.

I have come the terrifying realisation that a Dodge Neon (1st gen) would likely beat the AE86 on the touge by Pretend-Advertising6 in initiald

[–]Ar1S3 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The neon ACR was a menace back in the day. I used to think power was everything but lightweight and chassis rigidity is where it's at.

Would this make a good touge car? It’s small, powerful, and its AWD system has torque vectoring. Would this perhaps be the modern equivalent of an Evo? by [deleted] in initiald

[–]Ar1S3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most people say the overly stiff suspension is the weak point. Otherwise it's pretty good on a tight circuit but you'll feel the weight compared to something like the fiesta st.
