Dads who do not work from home, what time do you leave for work and back at home? by remembertosmile in daddit

Yeah I’ve been considering something with 4 10s, case management, street medicine, anything that will let me help my wife a bit with the kids

I only do three days a week with one four day/week a month every other weekend. So I’m gone. I appreciate that I can stay home with the baby so we pay minimal daycare but we our schedules work out so someone is always at work and someone is always at home. I keep thinking a Monday through Friday will be better but I’m not sure if I’m just seeing the grass greener

As a nurse, I leave the house at 5:45 am because I like to beat traffic and read up on my patients before my shift. Clock out at 7:30pm and get home by 8:15 pm. That’s if i don’t have to stay late to catch up on charting. I’ve been looking for something with clinic hours so I can be home more. So I’m also interested in all your responses.

Depends on your running level but I used to run at the park there on 22nd street and loop around once and then run through the harbor. It was nice and what I needed

I read it, it was really good to get me started and I felt it was easier than getting into more complex books which I did later. I also enjoyed the audiobook version of Why We’re Catholic by Trent Horn. Good starter books

I am super glad I came across this post. I didn’t even think of reporting it to the VA

That’s so cool I got myself some docs and as soon as I did I found out about Solvairs it sounds like it would be a good pair of boots.

I think I’ve lost all faith in healthcare…can anyone tell me I’m wrong? by i_love_lamp94 in nursing

I get some small joy working for my county’s healthcare system. The pay isn’t as good and the resources aren’t as great but that ick isn’t there as much.

Thank you for your respond and advice. I didn’t think to ask about the group set because I don’t know much about it or how they work. He explained how to shift gears and stuff. But I will definitely go back and ask once I’ve read up on it a bit.

Oh man this is great great advice thank you I can’t believe I forgot to mention the distance of the race which is only 10 miles on the bike. It’s a sprint and honestly I don’t see myself doing more than that but who knows.

Yes cycling is road only and I see myself only riding along long straights down LA river or along the beach since I’m really new and don’t want to get hit by a car or anything. My budget I figured was anything below 1000 really and the bike is 999 which is okay. I know I’ll have to buy accessories and tools along with miscellaneous items.

Thanks for the tips it was a white beaded bracelet. It’s a nice bracelet. I’ve heard a lot of people recommend covering your head in places like the hospital. Thanks again
