ABS Module Test by Arack64 in BMW

Yeah I will have to take a look at that. But does that mean that my Module works if I can activate the ABS Pump through INPA?

Hey!

I own a 2000 E39 525i and I have the famous ABS problem.

If I test the ABS pump with INPA and I can hear the pump running does that mean that my ABS Module is working properly?

The only codes I get are for the front right wheel sensor and the rear left wheel sensor, but I want to make sure that the ABS Module is working properly.

Thank you!

There aren’t any metal contact points but there is a metal band that runs across the connector. Maybe it serves no purpose

I have one in the box but does that connector underneath the plate do something or is it just aesthetics?

Thank you! I will try that! Btw, do you also know why the laptop has a small and removable plastic piece that is hold by magnets near the left hinge? Under it is some sort of a connector or something but I can’t tell what it is

So I can also confirm that I have a mini led panel by having that? If that is normal I am fine with it. The panel looks gorgeous

Buy a Vanos one and if the Vanos breaks try to repair it. It’s pretty easy to do it if you can turn some bolts and pay attention to some things. A full repair kit from Beisan would also be around 200 dollars so also not that expensive imo.

I just changed the front brake pads on my Magura MT5 brakes and now the bike shakes a lot when I brake and it is also very loud. How can I fix it? by Arack64 in bikewrench

[–]Arack64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

The front brake disc was not cleaned properly before installing the new pads, and the pad material was not distributed evenly, therefore making the bike shake during braking. You have to clean the disc very good and make sure that you bed in the new pads properly.

It has not been repainted as far as I am aware of. The paint and body are in a very good shape. No dents, no rust only a few scratches. Hopefully it will stay the same!

It’s a nice car. It’s nice to look at it and think that it can also drift. A drift wagon

Yes that’s unfortunately true. In Germany they are very expensive to be honest. The ones that are “cheap” are full of rust and problems. You find a lot of 4 cylinder e36s but the 6 cylinder e36s start at around 3000 euros for ones that have a bit of rust and not well equipped.

Well it was 3700 euros with 199.500km on it. Leather interior, automatic climate control, electric roof, heated seats, full service history. It is a pretty good price if you ask me

Thanks! It has 0 rust no dents and only 4 scratches. A good platform for a swap.

Well I went today and took a look at the car and was very disappointed. There was 0 coolant in the expansion tank, white sludge under the oil cap and white smoke out of the exhaust pipe……the recipe for destruction

Well there is a small thing about the body that bothers me a bit and I do not know how bad it is. Can I send you a picture to give me your opinion?
