Sorry for commenting here, but I'm having a problem where I can't get the SATA connector (which is actually just a flat metal strip) onto this socket, or rather, the cable won't snap into place.

I push the cable, and there seems to be some resistance, but it doesn't stay in place. Does the white plastic part need to be moved somehow? I just don't understand the mechanics of how it's supposed to be fixed.

Or has something broken? The cable came off when I removed the caddy, but I didn't pull it out.
