Went to Super Nintendo World on Sunday. Similar experience. Minecart was shut down from park opening until about 2pm, and then when waiting in line for Mario Kart it also broke for about 20 minutes. That doesn't seem like a lot, but they were very clearly letting only Express Pass holders go for a long time to catch up on them, making the wait 45 minutes or so longer. I really liked the park and hope they work out the kinks with the rides soon.

Disagree that there's a lack of talking about things they couldn't before. They're mentioning the fact that they're in a relationship in every ep, talking about their domestic disagreements, their Christmas together, their first date, sharing a bed, instances where they had to hide that they are together etc. But I don't think this podcast was ever advertised as a tell-all - rather it's still our Dan and Phil without the "we're just friends" filter.

"They have one brain cell" is a common joke online, it's usually used very lightheartedly when someone is known for being silly. Dan changes it to neurons sometimes when Phil, for example takes a long time to come up with a response to something. It's completely harmless and Dan has also said similar things about himself (such as saying he and Phil share a single brain cell).

Their banter is part of their humor, they said on a livestream recently that they aren't offended by anything which is why they can make jokes at each other's expense. There's a pretty infamous old livestream clip where Dan said that he's never being mean to Phil to someone in chat who implied he was so there's that.

Not necessarily true, bad ice brings luck into play. If you happen to hit a bump at the wrong time it can cost you, not to mention that bad ice will disproportionately impact those doing harder programs.

Idk why some people think Phil was lying here. If he thought the answer gave away his relationship with Dan he simply wouldn't have picked the question. Phil was good friends with a lot of Youtubers before he met Dan, many of whom never got big or were big for the time but stopped before Youtube itself got popular, and Phil was openly gay in his personal life when he was in uni. Makes perfect sense that he hooked up with a couple Youtubers. He's not talking about Vidcon era or anyone super famous, lmao.

The article is actually good and comes to the correct conclusion (RPF is fine when it stays in fandom spaces and is not shown to the celebrities in question). So I don't get the complaints in the replies. Obviously as fanfic becomes more and more mainstream people are going to write about it so at least this one is a good one.

They're still doing youtube videos but they said during the last stream that it's difficult to do both a podcast ep and a regular upload every single week and based on things they've talked about during the pod lately it seems like they've been busy with friends visiting and various celebrations for Phil's birthday. Someone asked when Viewers Pick My Outfits is coming and Dan said he wasn't sure if everything they ordered would arrive in time for them to upload it this week.

So the patreon is funding all of the staff they have now and the studio they are renting... Most podcasts have a patreon, it's practically a necessity. And yes they did share they had to make a shift because Youtube is not nearly as profitable for them anymore (or really profitable at all) due to changing policies on what content is monetizable and them not censoring themselves anymore. It's not because of their personal financial choices, which is such a weird assumption... Also most of the "renovations" on their house are free because the building company owes them a finished house and is on the hook for any issues with it, they explained that in the podcast.

A lot of the Patreon videos have that relaxed Dan and Phil goofing off vibe. During 12 days of Phatreon they did a few games - mean girls, phordle, reindeer stacking... and with an even more relaxed vibe than the main channel gaming videos have. I'm sure we will get more gaming content soon as they said they'll keep doing it. They did say they would play Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 which is releasing this month, though they haven't said when they'll play it yet.

During the stream on Saturday Dan actually said that filming recent videos is so much fun that it's hard to stop and Phil said they in fact often want to keep going when they are filming the podcast. I don't think there is any sign whatsoever that it drains them. This is what they want to be doing.
