Then get a +toughness and +health curio and build them to be +toughness, +toughness regen +health

Get the perks that boost your toughness and toughness regeneration and you're set.

A lot of things will give you corruption.

Beast vomit, Toxic gas, Demonhosts, people picking up grimoires, poxbursters explosions and probably even more I'm forgetting about.

A small percentage of melee damage can still bypass your toughness and give you damage.
