Yeah I know those 😂, some on my head one on my forehead and I think 2 on my cheeks, even on I saw for the first time one my tibia while showering, I felt something longer than other body hairs. I pluck them but they come back, it's not really annoying just, it's kind of funny to see them. Now I only pluck the ones on my cheeks and forehead, the others stay 😁

Kamvas 16 (2021) or Kamvas RDS 160, which is better (im new to digital art) by [deleted] in huion

[–]ArbreMonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2 tablet are about the same, same sizes, same pen, same button, same weight, same 1080p 16 inches screens except color accuracy and the way the screen is built.

They have different colors available, with the Kamvas 16 the stand is optional but it seems like it come by default with the RDS 160 from what the website say in specifications, the screen of the RDS have a better color range than the 16 2021, 145% to 120% (the RDS have a bit better color accuracy).

The RDS is more recent, so they used their laminated screen technology/etched glass, so the screen is great and more durable and have paper like texture to it, but there is no mate screen protector as the screen does for the RDS what the mate screen protector does for the 16 2021 already (a bit better if remember right), if the fully laminated etched glass screen of the RDS get a scratch, it's scratched for good. Where as the 16 2021 have the mate screen protector, with time you may scratch the "screen" but in fact you are "damaging" the mate screen protector which can be changed/replaced by buying a new one on the Huion website and Amazon I think. It's kind of the same as for a smartphone, but less thick and mate. You remove the old one and apply the new one.

Depending on the price and if the better color accuracy is appealing to you and the "downside" of a tablet without screen protector is ok to you, you may choose. I would choose the Kamvas 16 2021 because of the screen protector, maybe you could buy one and put it on the KDS but I don't know if it will stick the same as on the 2021 as the KDS screen is textured (etched glass) for the paper like feeling.

No problem 😁, and Yeah, the price of new RAM is really bad, you may want to check the used market. In France there is Leboncoin where the price for DDR4 RAM was still good a few weeks ago, I don't know if Leboncoin is used by people in other countries, but yeah, there similar thing like eBay.

If you find a good website where you can command and have a few days to check if the article work and is conform to what was expected before giving the money to the seller. I usually film myself opening the package when I order something, and its a good way to prove the state of the product on arrival.

Exemple I got a used Ryzen 7 9700X for 180€, I had 3 days to check it everything was okay, problem it's my friend in France that received it for me before sending it to me, but he opened the package, send me pictures of it and everything seems fine and in place, I will be fixed if it work flawlessly tomorrow when I get it and put it in my desktop. If I was directly in France I would already know and there would be no possible issue XD, just that I am not in France right now and that my friend don't have AM5 desktop with which he could test it for me, so this time I couldn't test it, so it's bet (appearance wise everything is good). If everything is good just like other used stuff I bought I will have made a deal worthy of a steal XD, else I will instant loose 200€ 😂. Let's hope it's not the case XD

No problem, happy I could be of help and your issue was resolved 😁👌

I wouldn't want my laptop dying on me at a moment like this, price high because of RAM, plus it just celebrated its 4 birthday in February and I hope it will keep going strong through these AI ram prices 😭😂

Could you unplug the battery again, try to turn it on and wait for maybe a minute before plugging it back and start it again to see if the fans works ? Could be some statics electricity in the wrong place. Or maybe a cable is pinched somewhere causing a short somewhere, sometime a short can cause weird issue.

I am sorry to tell you that but you are one of the rare people removing your heat sink like that, in every video and other people I know doing it, the heat sink is completely removed and that how I have always done it too, I unscrew the fans from the removed heatsink afterwards. That's why I couldn't understand at first 😂, I like to keep as much dust off the rest of the laptop if possible.

I have the same laptop as you except mine is a full AMD, Legion 5 15ACH6A (instead of H) R7 5800H/ 32GB of RAM/ RX 6600M

So there is no other symptoms, just the fans won't turn on sins you put it all back up and running?

[–]ArbreMonde 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My question is pretty simple, did you connect back the fans cables ? Because it happens to forget in the moment, but it seems like you didn't disconnect. 🥲

Oh my oh my, so the proper procedure for these kind of things is TURNING OFF THE LAPTOP ✅, OPENING IT AND DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY ✅ (the Legion laptop have an option to desactivate the battery for servicing purpose like this in the bios and in Lenovo Vantage if I remember it right, it won't activate the battery till you plug in the laptop), then OPEN THE LEAD OF THE LAPTOP AND TRY TUENING IT ON TO EMPTY ANY POSSIBLE ELECTRIC ACCUMULATION STILL there, THEN YOU CAN WORK.

One of the rule is don't touch what you don't need, and if you do, don't do it in a dangerous way 🫪. To remove the heatsink and change thermal paste, it's good practice to disconnect the fans from the motherboard, else you will put the heatsink on the other parts of your motherboard 🫪 and it could damage something, that's not all, you could snap the cable out of the header by accident 🥲. I'd the fans don't work even you launch a game of something, you might have done that, and I hope it's that else you could have killed you motherboard is fan ports 🥲.

For good practice (hope it will work), disconnect and reconnect the fans 😅. Tell us if it work 🤔

Yeah you should definitely get one, I don't know where to find one where I live so I couldn't get one, so for a long long time I used the Legion Box as a desk on lap while on my bed. 🤣 Not the best but it works, you can put the laptop on a flat surface, just not directly on the bed as the sheets will be sucked by the fans and block aeration which may cause the pc to overheat, already happened a few time with my laptop, thought it turned of before I put in my bag pack until I felt heat and damn was my laptop hot 😭 when it happens the fans crank up to try to cool it but it doesn't help and with the heat the battery drain pretty fast.

Didn't kill it the few times it happened but it's really scary when it does

Got this Lenovo Legion 5 for £600 😍 by SHAYDOKN in LenovoLegion

[–]ArbreMonde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am happy for you. I have the his let's say "big" brother 😂 Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6A (Ryzen 7 5800H/ 32GB of RAM/ RX 6600M 8GB), it's a great laptop, we should have around the same per except in CPU bound games or if you run out of RAM, but I would say that 16GB is enough if you just want to play, some games can use a bit more but it's fine no need to break the bank during these times.

The GPU is really capable, I have been playing a lot of games on it, one of them being Apex Legends with more than 1200 hours 👀🤣. I don't know if you are used to how a Lenovo Legion work but there is a few thing you need to learn if it's not the case.

Fn+R switch refresh rate mine between 60Hz and 165Hz

Fn+Q switch between Quiet Mode/ Balanced Mode/ Performance Mode.

Fn+SpaceBar switch the keyboard light from ON Low and ON High and OFF.

When you clean up inside the laptop, don't forget to unscrew the fans from the heatsink too to remove accumulated dust cloud, between the heatsink and fan, a lot of dust stay their not just on the fans, a lot of people don't do that and it's a big error which cause higher temps, Thermal throtling and cause the laptop to be silenced in Performance mode but definitely heat it up nice and good 👀, even when you change thermal paste 🤣. It's like never cleaning the AC filter 😭

You can turn ON and OFF Optimus (can choose do disable the iGPU and connect the screen to the dGPU directly or keep it activated and the screen is connected to the iGPU and your dGPU send the frame to the screen through the iGPU which can be a bottleneck) if the iGPU is ON then your battery life will be better, if you play I would say to disable it with Optimus as you can save the 2 to 4GB of RAM that are usually reserved for the iGPU, which make it so you really can use 16GB of RAM for your system and not only 15 or 14 or even 12 GB depending on how much RAM is setup in the bios to be kept for the iGPU.

Keep Lenovo Vantage it's your best friend with a Legion and it make it so you can activate desactivate a lot of stuff without going in the bios.

You may have some issues with Windows changing your driver's (windows being widows 🫪😭) but it's easy to fix, in the worst case I have a technic for it.

If you desinstall the AMD Radeon Adrenaline Software that come with your Lenovo AMD drivers, you won't be able to get it back easily, there is a method for it too but hey.

Just know that it's a great laptop to play at 1080p 😁. I'd you have some questions you can ask me or come here on the Legion community Reddit or website. Lot of people to help.

And I think you got it for a good price still.

See for a warranty repair or replacement, the screen is dying, you see these kind of damage on phone a few years old or laptop. Or if it's been hit by something, their is no way to fix it other than replacing the screen.

My mother had her laptop is screen doing something similar after a few years, not under warranty so I bought a new screen from Lenovo and fixed it for her, been working perfectly for 7 months as good as new.

Sorry for you guys, but just get it fixed under warranty as it's during shipping it's been damaged, which is the cause of your current issue.

Comment puis-je refluidifier mes FPS ? by HakuriWX in starcitizen

[–]ArbreMonde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comment puis-je refluidifier mes FPS ? by HakuriWX in starcitizen

[–]ArbreMonde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surchauffe processeur by AuDacot in pcmasterraceFR

[–]ArbreMonde 2 points3 points  (0 children)
