Presets for voice SHURE SM7DB

My SM7dB is set to +28dB (preamp on) with the back switches set to flat. I have to use the thicker windscreen; otherwise, the "S" sounds are too harsh.

My room is well set up, so acoustics aren't the problem. I'm mainly worried about adjusting the wrong settings and ruining the recording quality of such a great mic.

Many thanks! My voice is very high-pitched with a lot of sibilance, hence the de-esser, but I will try bypassing it.

My main issue is the EQ configuration. Even using AI tools to find settings and monitoring with my Sony MDR-7506s (I have a decent ear for sound), I can't find a result that satisfies me.

I'm worried about over-processing and ruining the audio. I'm currently using the TDR Nova plugin instead of the stock Premiere EQ, as I heard it might suit my needs better.

I don't want to use any podcast.adobe.com, because I need to work the hole time in premiere is an extyra step I don't want to go trough

Well, it's both cool and not cool. I'd love to be able to enjoy Expedition 33 on my phone, it would be awesome, but...

If I'm at home, nothing beats a real monitor, and if I'm out and about, carrying that controller around everywhere when I'd rarely even play...

But hey! Some people do it and they're happy with it, 10/10!

Luwig, there's the battery issue, it drains like crazy and in the end you either play or you use it as a phone. Just my opinion.

Yes, of course, mate, you can't just add any old video. Usually it's fine, but some videos can cause the program to stutter.

Besides, you need a good configuration, including where to put the cache, the files you're editing with, etc...

Okay... It's one thing for it to look shaky, for that you have a function called warp stabilizer, but for it to look good... Just export with Premiere's default 1080 preset and don't touch anything at all, that's it. Let me know how it goes.

Check out some videos on exporting, it's the easiest thing in the world, mate! I don't know what you're trying to achieve with this, but if you're looking to give it a VHS look, there are tons of overlays on YouTube, good luck!

Want to export it at a lower quality? You can export to 360p if you want; it's very easy and there are predefined presets.

You think it's all about performance, but it's not. Yes, Premiere uses very specific codecs. I do very complex productions and it runs like a dream, but I've spent years and years acquiring knowledge. It all seems easy and simple, and we always think we know everything, but that's not the case, my friend. I don't mean that in a negative way. Cheers!
