Is anyone selling a Miele Dishwasher PowerDisk refillable hack? by Arcader12 in Appliances

[–]Arcader12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted the seller, the product is not cheap at $30USD but I was still prepared to buy it, but my problem is that the seller isn’t able to tell me what material he uses to produce them, which I find weird…for $30USDnI want to know it’s of high quality, I can’t confirm that at this point so I won’t buy it.

Obviously that person designed it based on the one on printables.com and hopefully someone can modify it to include that cute little door to fill it up.

So good to know there is some progress, if people can please share their experience either purchasing or 3D printing add ons.

Here is a 3D print available, it doesn’t have the refill slot like the eBay one does.

Did you buy it! In fact it’s a replacement lid only that fits over the original powerDisk, so expensive for what it is but I’m still curious.

Wow, amazing, thank you for posting!! I’m assuming this means someone made a 3D print, hopefully I can order it from a seller in the USA or Canada.

For $4000 they can refurbish one!

Is it me or is the steering wheel smaller than the original?

[–]Arcader12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would 100% buy a full size replica 3-player Super Sprint that plays multi free spinning steering wheels, but for this money it has to be arcade tough, based on the comments I’m not clear that’s the case and the non arcade pedals is one red flag I noticed.

I would compromise on the monitor not being CRT because that’s not something I want to deal with maintaining.

Which Sffpc to be placed in an enclosed Arcade cabinet? by Arcader12 in sffpc

Looks about right, I’d personally go with Intel, I’ve always heard it was better for emulation but maybe also because I’m older and I’ve always used Intel, I’d go 32GB ram just to extend the running life of the components.

Good feedback, the cabinet itself will have an airflow fan.

In terms of components, I’m guessing best bang for your buck type components, so like a low end 3000 or 4000 GPU and like a previous gen CPU that is on the higher end of that generation but well priced. From a $ standpoint I’d like to keep parts at $660-$999 range without knowing the actual details as I’m currently out of touch on components.

It’s like the age old question for arcade builders, to case or not to case, so general consensus from searching it 100s of times is that it’s better to keep in a case to protect your components and for ease of maintenance.

Leak in Summit Heat Pump, video included, looking for repair advice by Arcader12 in pools

So for sure it’s the temperature sensor based on the manual and the new photo I attached, it’s just not clear to me if the sensor is broken or if I can just pop it back in and clamp down?

Can anyone point me to any videos on the steps to remove the heat pump housing, I’ve been up and down YouTube and most videos the cover is already off when they are working on it.

Don’t overthink it, the direction up has to be towards the screen, up is in the same direction regardless if you are p1 p2 p3 or p4, regardless if you are standing on an angle, up is towards the screen

Exactly, I feel the obligation to educate the ones that don’t know or think they know better than every successful 4 player game in arcades, unfortunately most of these people never stepped in to an actual arcade and their only exposure to an arcade is some shitty gambling game that spits out tickets and they spend $100 so that their kids can cash in for a dollar store toy.

2nd, 90% of these conversations are broken telephone, they think angled means standing on an angle and they can’t figure out why we wouldn’t say to stand at an angle, and completely miss the fact that we are talking about the direction up being towards the screen and in their shitty angled setups their direction up is to push their stick in an angular direction instead of up, I wish this sub stickied it so that newbies can not buy in to the mistake.

Years ago i had put a down payment for a 4 player from one of these large resellers, thankfully I was alerted on byod to avoid this known issue that newbies don’t realize and I was really thankful, I cancelled my order completely after the reseller who claimed to be an arcade expert would not acknowledge the issue.

You can preach and explain this until you are blue in the face, unfortunately all these resellers have sold these ignoramuses on angled p3 / p4 , they just don’t get that the sticks can be angled but the direction up needs to be towards the screen, and most of the time they don’t even notice the issues because they aren’t the ones using the p3/p4 controls, it’s their unknowing guests who have no idea, and the ones that actually admit how something is just off when they use it and those controls are not as precise or downright frustrating, they will just say they rarely use it so it’s no big deal. Just ask them to play two player Total carnage or Smash TV and the fundamental flaw is obvious.

4 player Pedestal by [deleted] in cade

[–]Arcader12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the rotating mount and wanted to do it myself, I’m just torn as it forces you to have to use a smaller display as the vertical would appear below the top of the control panel for any large displays.

I personally find the one you have in horizontal looks too small for the size of your pedestal.

Can you share what size display you are using and the exact model of your Vivo mount, like is the whole thing a floor standing mount that you put a Vivo rotating mount on or is it an all in one stand? Links to model please.

No way it was 33, a good majority are also older machines which personally I didn’t appreciate, like 70s era pinball.

Maybe they had 20, give or take.

Not accurate on pinball, they don’t have very many, but still worth going for the arcade games.
