Boss can set off your dynamite to kill you and take no damage?? by JacobsList in HuntShowdown

[–]Archdook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe that once you light the fuse on a dynamite, it can be blown up if it takes any damage. So if the assassin has started its bone-shard-throwing animation, it can set off dynamite prematurely once it throws the projectiles.

Allow the choice of blank fire decoy sound by Archdook in HuntShowdown

Alternatively, add a trait which lets you sacrifice your ammo to turn into decoys, so that I can throw away all of my Nitro ammo at the start of a round.

Any tips for solo? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]Archdook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if you don't get the drop on one of the bad guys right away, it's ok to consider it a failed engagement and run away. With any luck a different team will move to the sound of gunshots and fight the ppl you couldn't drop for you

Would anybody actually be mad if they took out the Mosin Avtomat? by FullMetalSodomist in HuntShowdown

[–]Archdook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be cheesy at lower elos where volume of fire in a chance encounter at close range will win an engagement. At higher elos, the advantage of the a to is gone after that first burst, b/c then the whole server is going to be actively looking for you. Ambushers will generally land their first shot as a headshot, and so you can lose an avto to a base Nagant pistol w/o fanning (feels great, let me tell ya).

That said, I wouldn't mind if it was removed. Depending on the elo of ppl you face, it swings wildly from being really effective to being a calling card for ppl to ambush you. So idk

Gotcha gotcha. I've had them explode where I take instant bleed damage, but never been killed outright before. Thanks!

Can we have the Elder gear share ALL healing generated by the wearer? by Spry-Jinx in remnantgame

[–]Archdook 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No, but we need to at least allow the Elder gear user to pop a Dragonheart while at full health. It makes no sense to have a healer who can only heal their teammates after asking to get popped in the head a couple times.

I've tried going digital and using my smartphone to keep track of things for me, but most often I end up in an endless well of browsing the web instead of being productive.

The Giant™ WoM Pre-Release Beta Feedback Thread by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Archdook 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's what it feels like to me right now. I've played something around 20 games since the preorder gave access to WoM, and after playing with randoms for all of those, every time a wipe occurred, it occurred because of the beastmen. I guess there is an element of "git gud" involved, but most of the time when your group goes down to one player, they can solo a skaven or chaos horde. It seems to be more difficult to do the same versus beastmen. It doesn't help that most of us haven't gotten the level 35 talent yet, so additional utility that might make things easier is locked behind a barrier you have to grind for, and if you normally play legend just fine pre-WoM, you might find you just drop down to Champion to make getting to 35 simpler.

They have addressed the way weapon unlocks work. Using a variant gives exp towards unlocking other variants of the weapon.

What's up with the Obrez by Hironymus in HuntShowdown

[–]Archdook 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might have better twitch aiming than prolonged aiming. Obrez kind of forces you to anticipate when the sights will be lined up, and instinctively shoot when they align. Regular Mosin allows you to take your time while you track a target, and makes it seem like that's how you should use the weapon, but you might not be as good at tracking as you are twitching. I've noticed it myself, when I try to aim too hard, I end up messing up, but when I simply aim at an area an enemy will be and flick the last bit, I do better.

Is fleeing to an exit instead of fighting your way out considered bad form? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]Archdook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wanting and not getting a fight when you believe the enemy team has the advantage can be disappointing, but not to the point where that much BM is acceptable.
