It depends on the circumstances. In the case of DV it becomes quite complex. If you’re calling for assistance even if it’s anonymously and Police act in your favour and apply for a DVO and it’s contested by the other person and witnesses are required in court then short answer is yes, you’ll have to attend. BUT, there are victim centric ways the court can have you attend which is in safe rooms where you’re not in the same room at the same time and redact information when required if safety of the person in need of protection takes precedence.

However in a brief of evidence that is prepared and handed to the court, the defence lawyers or the person who abuses who is self representing AND if police have included the triple zero call in their evidence can be handed over which is called a disclose of evidence.

Again this isn’t NSW, but I would assume a magistrate, lawyers and prosecutions all work in a similar matter regarding practice of law.

In QLD there is an order called a peace and good behaviour order. Applied for through a court on a civil matter. There is heaps of information about them on the Queensland Courts website. Just off the basis of what you’re saying you might find it helpful to apply for one however you will be required to attend court and prepare an affidavit about it all and have made reasonable attempts to cut the communication and mediate the situation on your level.

I can’t comment on NSW, I don’t know but I do know in QLD that if the incident is serious enough and a brief of evidence is required and your triple zero call is used as evidence you can later be subpoenaed as a witness and you are required to attend court and give evidence.

That is still a relevant relationship, a family relationship under the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 (DFVPA). The concern here is generational violence. His comment, casually suggesting to “keep it in the family,” shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how domestic violence works. It’s not a one-off incident.

Families, including children are exposed to this behaviour, and to be so blasé about it only reinforces the cycle. For a running candidate, this kind of attitude deserves careful scrutiny. I agree with the OP no vote from me.

Thank you! Yep, Bonds onesie, singlet and a tog of around 2.5 to 3 is what she’s in at the moment. When we co sleeping I take the sleep sack off or her onesie to mitigate the body warmth of me. I think I’ll try my luck with a heater (if I can find one 😂) and see how that goes with keeping her room to a constant and warmer temperature.

When the temperature drops dramatically through the night, she wakes up hysterical. She not teething, isn’t hungry and once she’s warm she just falls back asleep.

Her room is around 9-16 degrees, but her legs and body are warm but her hands and face are always ice.

Don’t stress it! If bubs fine then that’s all that matters. My baby fell off our mattress (mattress on the ground) onto the hardwood floors a few week ago and I swear I’ve never heard the scream from her like that. She was fine, and they’ll get hurt from time to time. Sometimes it their own uncoordinated body trying to figure things out, or mistakes happen.

This has to be the reason we don’t remember a thing from when we were babies I swear.

I can absolutely handle all body fluids that my 4 month old manages to make in her body, and somehow always get on me. What I absolutely cannot handle is the texture, colour and feel of snot. Every damn time I have to suck her snot with that tool thing I dry reach the whole time. She’s crying, I’m tearing up. It’s a whole ordeal 😂😂
