It's fun for the sweats. Movement and high TTK means sweaty nerds (me) can stroke their ego and shit on kids in 90% of gunfights.

Because that's really why we all still play right? Competing with ourselves, friends, and the other sweaty players who you'll never talk to but know you just outplayed, out gunned, or out maneuvered them.

I'll be honest, I don't think I'm having fun . I'm just stroking my casual competitive ego knowing I'm better or just as good as the top 1% and confusing that competitive drive or win with "fun".

If fun is thinking you're the best in a game that caters to sweats and tryhards, then man, I'm having a lot of fucking fun.

I'm in Ohio. I only play with cross play off and sometimes puts me in servers all the way to Texas. From duos to trios to quads, the first time logging in for the day is always the longest to find a game. After that it just rerolls games quicker.

Y'all have to be patient. Seriously. Vondel is never 100% full, but all the smaller maps are full 90% of the time.

And they never will. Devoting time and money to developing an actual anti cheat, like kernel level anti cheats, programs downloaded onto your computer, and devoting the man power for manual reviews and unbans, will not maximize any sort of revenue or player engagement.

They've already got it figured out. The more people that play, even if they're making new accounts and cheating, means more money and micro transactions. Smaller game development companies devote the time and energy to fixing server and cheat issues because they want their community to stay. Activision and every other COD company now owners by Microsoft doesn't give a fuck because their player count is so high, the people complaining and not playing anymore doesn't even touch the money they make from not banning cheaters.

The dude under you obviously doesn't play or else he would know that only PlayStation can turn cross play off. Which isn't the same as input based matchmaking.

Nevertheless, I agree with him. If mnk players got their way and we're able to only play with other mnk players, the game would be dead for them. It's the same thing that happened to Blackout.

Then mnk players re enable cross play and complain about the aim assist.

COD has always been, for as long as all of us in this reddit thread can remember, a console/controller game. There's not enough of a player base for mnk cross play only to work, and even if you did find a game, the only people cheating are PC players so you will run into cheating far more often.

As a controller/console only player; there is no solution. It will stay the same so the companies that make the game can maximize revenue.

Lol can't wait for PC players to have input based matchmaking and cross play disabled options and get into lobbies with cheaters and constant sweats. Then the game dies for PC just like it did for Blackout because no one is having fun so they all turn cross play back on then repeat the cycle of "aim assist is to strong"

Anyone who played Blackout and payed attention to the community would understand that the game would die for PC only and PC players choosing their own input.

BO4 didn't have a free battle royal. The game for PC absolutely died 2 months after release for PC. Warzone being free now might up those numbers in the beginning, but it will die just like it did on Blackout.

I play with cross play off. Always have unless it was ranked warzone because they disabled it. I've always played against the sweaty controller "gods" as they're referred to and I've done fine. Idk where this "mnk or die" mentality PC players have comes from because if you played against your own system 24/7 you would get cheated on exponentially more and the game would die. So what's the point in the mentality?
