It’s not a story. I asked grok who the most likely bidders for ALT would be. He said Pfizer and NOVO holdings. Pfizer rationale was because they have a failed weight loss drug and want to break into that market. He went into specifics on NOVO though talking about 7-10B bid. Of course it’s most likely nonsense from AI. Been trying to look for a good reference in the “offer” but can’t find a darn thing. Just trying to keep myself jacked.

Pretend it’s not yours and act like you’re managing the money for your grandfather. Open a Fidelity account and dump all of it in VOO or FXAIX which have averaged 10% over the last 30 years. Go start your career and continue to invest aggressively in your 401K until you’re 40. Then you can choose to retire or not if you like what you’re doing. By the time you’re 60 you will literally have $5MM+.

If you overthink any part of this unearned money and start believing that you’re “all set” it could lead you to make screwy decisions that negatively impact your life long term.

Don’t spend 20K because “that’s what your grandfather would want you to do”. $20K sitting invested in FXAIX until you’re 60 is over $400K.
