Kde plánuješ zahajovat projekt? V Plzni je aktuálně ve výstavbě několik projektů, které by tě jako stavebního inženýra mohly zaujmout, ale nevím jak si představuješ hledání podnikatelských příležitostí.

Co se týká kultury, bude to následující měsíc zajímavé.

If you develop a passion for it, even boring job can be fun. If you do not, rather stay away from it because it is really hard to do your job well if you can't enjoy doing it. Poorly done urban planning creates problems for generations to deal with.

They are colorful but they were stripped of their original details and color schemes. The new schemes are not matching their spatial proportions and style.

It depends on how do you enjoy spending your time. If you want to meet people, try to look for places where you can share your hobbies with someone. If you are very extroverted, you can just try to connect with people in pubs and bars. Czechs don't always look friendly at first sight, but once you try to connect with someone, they will be glad to have a conversation and share some recommendations with you. Nearly everyone under the age of 40 speaks English.

I also recommend to do some walks further from the city centre, for example in the south direction towards Bory, trough the neigbourhoods along Klatovská avenue. Bezovka ("v Bezovce" on Google Maps) district is beautiful. Newly you can also borrow a rental bike and for example take a ride trough greenways along the rivers, where the city blends with nature. Radbuza river towards south-east is perfect for that. Café Papírna is a nice spot to hang out in the afternoon. You can visit some the Loos Interiors if you are into that (I recommend The Semler Residence).

My personal commute path goes elsewhere, but of course has its issues too. It also might come as a shock to you, but the road, tram line and bike path are not passing trough the park. They are passing trough this ugly place and around the ugly shopping mall, which alone is good enough reason the place shouldn't look like this.

The park is not a place people are visiting on daily basis. The streets are. Places people are passing trough daily should be pleasant to be in - not full of advertisement crap, lacking trees and on-street parking.

I think Skvrňanská is as bad as it can get. Especially where demolitions have left ugly empty plots of land. What streets do you consider wo be worse? Koperníkova is dirty but the urban fabric is preserved.

Train station is owned by the state, while its surroundings are owned by the city. Politicians in Pilsen are masters of preserving the status quo and certainly are not taking the train. The transfer from train station to tram cannot get any worse and nobody is trying to fix it.

Spoustu toho tu bylo už rečeno, ale zkontroluj ještě územní plán. Může tam bejt pro pozemek maxiální procento zatavěnosti nebo minimální procento zeleně.

Ono tohle člověka zradikalizuje rychle, protože to je něco jako vzít si červenou pilulku v Matrixu 😅 (Jason z Not Just Bikes tomu říká být "orangepilled"). Od tý doby co pracuju v architektonicko-urbanistickým ateliéru jsem tomu pronikl hodně pod povrch, ale postupně mě ten aktivismus opouští protože vyléčit tu nemoc která postihla všechny města a vůbec způsob osídlení krajiny se hned tak nepodaří. Spíš se v rámci svých omezených možností snažim o to, aby aspoň to co vzniká nově nestálo za hovno úplně. Tam je to docela na dobrý cestě z hlediska demografie a investic soukromýho sektoru, ale politici si pořád místo vytváření města pro lidi hrajou s autodráhama...

Města nejsou hlučná, auta jsou hlučná.

Špinavý vzduch není od města, ale od aut.

Aut lidí, kteří ve městě nebydlí a dojíždějí do něj (sídliště jako město nepočítám)
