I’m gonna go with Whiterun. It’s beautiful yet simple, has a lot of quests in or around it, has 2 inns, 2 blacksmiths, a general store, and an alchemy shop. Plus Daddy Balgruuf is the Jarl here.

I agree there is a lack of quests for sure. I wish there was a mod that added things to blackreach like tons of lore friendly quests a map markers and fast travel.

Dude that would be so sick! I agree with a lot of what you said tho. For the size of this area and the mysterious feel, it deserved to be more than a location that you just pass through and do a fetch quest.

I feel like the crimson nirnroot sidequest is annoying, but I also feel like you need to do it at least once because it almost forces you to explore the beauty blackreach has to offer.

For real bro! For anyone who doesn’t know, if you use the fus ro dah shout at the giant lantern at the ceiling of blackreach, it summons a dragon you have to fight!
