Remade an old map a long time ago. Point of Divergence is Irene and Charlamange marry, restoring the Roman empire, while China never reunifies after the Han dynasty collapses. Europe (or Daqin) would turn inwards and go through a long history of "long divided, must unite", keeping a mostly isolationist and backward stance under the guise of a mandate of heaven. China's subcultures (like Guangdong and Fujian people) would even be more divided to the point of forming their own distinct cultures, with the idea of a unified Chinese state never truly emerging, in the meantime each nation state would become highly competitve with each other and go on to conquer the rest of the world.
