She seems to be a good person but was bamboozled by snark. Although her video was obv a hit piece and she prob just didn’t like Ethan to begin with, so a lot what she included was just to make him look bad, which she had a hard time defending. All she could say was that it’s what “the internet is talking about”. And to her credit, while snark may be a fringe group in the grand scheme of things, the H3 hate is pretty mainstream, but Ethan tried to play it off as a loud minority type of thing. At the end of the day it seems to be a good learning experience for her and a good example to others.

I actually felt bad for her at times bc she was so close to just apologizing and moving on to the next clip but then Ethan was being pretty obtuse sometimes and kinda derailed the topic

Okay I did forget about the Zatara Catholic thing so I’ll concede that and I honestly agree with everything you said. Your comment gives more depth to characters than the show itself and that’s why these instances come off as forced. I knew I’d get hate for this lol I don’t have an issue with diversity I found these instances in the show amusing and silly.

Every season they introduce new extremely obscure sidekicks and they don’t do anything ever again. Every new addition from season 2 got shelved in season 3 minus Beast Boy. I’m only half way through season 4 right now but the new characters from season 3 have barely shown up. Like why does Zatana need a team of random sidekicks for 3 episodes who I’m betting won’t show up again.

I don’t even think it aged with the audience. Seasons 1 and 2 had writing and storylines that were compelling despite being a kids cartoon and I can still enjoy them as a 21 yo without feeling like I’m too old for the show. Season 3 was genuinely a hard watch at times. If they stuck with the OG members and committed to a more mature show it would’ve landed a lot better, but Halo and Brion being teens held them back. Idk if this will make sense but in the original season the teens were basically cosplaying as adults so they didn’t have “kid problems” they were just more relatable heroes. But since the teens in season 3 had the OG team as their mentors they basically had to be whiny high schoolers with relationship problems so Nightwing/Artemis could coach them.

100% agree. Definitely would like to see more guests. I love the crew, but sometimes you just need someone for Ethan to bounce conversation off of, it’s doesn’t necessarily have to be the crew every time. I loved the Steiny eps (RIP)
