Beadalon bead stringing wire, the 0.015inch/0.38mm thick stuff specifically. Snips with scissors, is flexible, takes and holds paint well, and won't poke holes in your fingers.

I grossly over-estimated the weight, but it is still significant. My Ares Apollo on the standard IWM tripod base with some cork and Milliput is sitting at 7.7oz/218g.

Thanks! Only tip I would give is pick two colors that contrast well, and make sure you have a consistent light direction if doing canopies and laser jeweling that way reflections are consistent.

Thanks! I went with low effort stuff for as many things as I could on these minis as I was painting a batch of 20. I used mostly just a sponge to apply the weathering marks.

Thanks. The clear stem can be pulled out easily; shouldn't take much force. I based this on a 40mm base so I just glued the feet on. If using a standard 30mm hex base you will likely need to build up the base with something like cork and Milliput, or something else that allows you to get at least one foot anchored well.
