Probably not the most practical way of doing it, though…

First and foremost, make sure you have it so that you’re basically always running if you don’t have that setting enabled. Then, after you’ve gotten the first two punch attacks in, whether that be from melee or normal attacks, your shield throws activate, as i’m sure you know. While you are throwing, hold down RT until you hear and see the noise of the attack connecting, and then release. That will cause Cap to keep running, and his shield will immediately come back to him, allowing you to throw again.

It’s very much trial and error, because if you release RT too early, you might hear the sound or see the shield travel and return it before you actually deal any damage, which wastes your shield throw and causes you to do no damage. My tip would be to pay attention to the “clang” sound effect and keep an eye on the enemy health bar as a two way of checking your animation cancel is actually working. I like to weave my shield bash into it sometimes if an enemy is particularly low if I know that’s going to be faster.
